i agree with the above..first wayne had me...then he slightly lost me...Now i see that thier is a method to his madness and i can respect that..He is ill in his own right...I believe his album can be a classic...You need to understand that the things he says no one else thinks of...Sometimes they are silly..but generally no one has dared trying to risk the style range....Still waiting for the Nas album more than anything though!!!!

my and my boys used to listen to Cash Money BAAACK in the day and Wayne was my least favourite.

He's slowly growing on me now, but I agree I think he's in the position right now to become something great (not the best rapper alive though).

Hearing "Lollipop" for the first time reminded me of the first time I heard Jay-Z's "Hard Knock Life".

^^^^ The comparison is due to the fact like Nas and BIG, Wayne has everyone's ear, even those who feel his position is unwarranted. It doesn't matter if he's obtained it on his 1st or sixth album, he has it now. If he drops a seminal album that validates the hype then his self-appointed title of "greatest rapper alive" starts to have some merit.

And it's clear he sees himself in that positions by the fact his album cover is modeled after Ready to Die and Illmatic. Pretty simple to see.
