Nino Bless is a Hip-Hop investigator who sees right through the stereotypical hood rapper type MC’s. He also lacks respect for the MC’s that are so abstract that you cram to understand them.

At the end of the day, an MC’s main purpose should be to entertain and to connect with the listener. With this in mind, Bless feels that the keys to his rap style are to first be himself and then to build a relationship with the audience. The most important element would be maintaining the dope lyrics that originally got their attention. According to Bless there is a lot of wackness being disguised as Hip-Hop.

Bless must be on top of his game and be able to back up everything he believes. An example of this can be heard on his track with Joe Budden, "Times R Hard" and on the hit song "Third Degree" with Crooked I and Saigon. Bless is ready to prove it to the world. No watered down MC’s allowed.

AllHipHop.com: What inspired you to rap?

Nino Bless: Most rappers lie when you ask them this typical question but I will tell you the truth. Being "cool" inspired me. Rappers were cool and I wanted to do what they were doing. I definitely just wanted to be down. It started off from there and then I realized I was really good at putting words together and doing certain things that captivated people when they heard me. It all stems from just trying to be down though. F**k it though because now I am down. Word!

AllHipHop.com: Word. On your page it says that you have ghost written for some otherartists. Can you tell me their names?

Nino Bless: Rakim, Nas, Jay-Z all the greatest MC's you can think of I've written all their raps. Ok, horrible joking aside, I’d rather not say, I want to continue to have clients in the future, trust me so I can't really name anybody.

AllHipHop.com: Which emcees do you listen to?

Nino Bless: Unfortunately more than I should. I try and have an open mind with everything that’s out there but, I should not be listening to 88% of the s**t I give 2 minutes of my attention to, nothing is thought provoking anymore. These guys don't even sound like they mean what they say and everybody has the same story. The MC's I enjoy listening to however are Scarface, older Nas stuff, Jay, Pun, G Rap, Big L, Crooked I, Joe Budden, and believe it or not Brother Ali. I like Ali's shit. As far as MC's I hate listening to just anybody who tries too hard to be different. I can see through them just looking for a niche to hide behind their wackness.

AllHipHop.com: What are you working on right now?

Nino Bless: I'm working on Untold Scriptures Vol 2 right now. That’s my main focus right now as well as a Mixtape with Crooked I and Green Lantern. Untold 2, the follow up to my first project, is what’s taking up a lot of my time right now as well as trying to unify all the ill dudes doing it from our realm. Joe Budden and Crooked I are definitely two MC's I speak to daily trying to see who we could bring along with us to try and kick this s**t into second gear.

I'm telling you right now something serious is about to go down. I may not be directly a part of it but, I'll be involved but remember I told you this. In the underground scene, something serious is going down and it will be felt on all facets of the game.

AllHipHop.com: You have Kool G Rap on your mixtape. What was it like working with him?

Nino Bless: I was an honor to say the least. G is an easy dude to work with. He canget on any type of track with any vibe and do anything. A lot of cats reach out to G to do that street shit because G is the godfather of that shit out here in the East Coast. He's so flexible it’s crazy though. I got him on "Four In A Clip" just so some of the young cats who are oblivious or just sleeping on dude, can see that he can still hang with anybody. We got a few more joints together stay on the lookout.

AllHipHop.com: You also have Chamillionaire co-signing you "saying that you have unprecedented potential." How did you meet and have him hear you spit?

Nino Bless: I was doing some marketing at the time and pitching him beats. I actually got my producer at the time two placements on his first album. Cham and I spoke on several occasions and one time we kicked it for like hours just talking about the rap game and etc. I told him I spit and we just started flowing back and forth and he was just real taken back. I'll never forget his quote he was like "yeah you're definitely a rapper." That s**t still stays in my head. We started out in similar fashion doing promo and etc. He's a real good dude and very intelligent both music and business wise.

AllHipHop.com: On your MySpace page you have "original is the new word for weird."  Explain that to me?

Nino Bless: I just think it’s hilarious when you see these kids trying extra hard
to be abstract and in a sense forcing themselves to be anything outside the norm and in the process they come off weird as f**k. Some people see the s**t and say "Oh he's just so original" or "He's so different." I don't see any originality at all I just see mad weird-ism floating around. I know sometimes something different gets that "weird" reaction to it but I'm just talking about the forced weirdoes.  Going the extra mile and s**t man. I don't care how different you are if you aren't dope.

Being dope is most important to me whether your style is a knock off of somebody else or something completely unseen before. You can be mad different and still trash and for whatever reason these days you might win because people will accept that bullshit niche over quality. The quality of music is at an all time low and I think we should address the infatuation with certain folks liking anything that’s abstract just because it’s not typical no matter how wack it is.

AllHipHop.com: What does that mean for your style? How does it relate?

Nino Bless: It puts a cloud over what type of s**t I do and people mis-categorize it 9 times out of 10. I guess my style would be viewed as typical but when you hear me I can do the street s**t, thought provoking s**t, conscious s**t, uplifting s**t, all that. I guess I'm not original enough though because I don't talk about how "different" or "Hip-Hop" I am over a conventional "boom bap" beat every single time.

I think I'm just as boom bap as the next dude. I just think my weird-ism isn't high enough on that meter to get on the radar of those clown shoes. If anybody has ever heard my joint "Name Droppin" and caught most of it they'd know that’s as Hip-Hop as it gets. I'm not classified as Mr. Hip=Hop head though because I talk fly and spit about the typical struggle going on in the hood. You know that’s played out and s**t these days. If cats actually listened they'd hear how I do it and how much more relatable my s**t is to reality. I got many followers and people who catch on but there's many heads still left in the dark.

AllHipHop.com: Where does your inspiration come from?

Nino Bless: The inspiration is the lack of quality around right now and that fact that nobody gives a  f**k about the quality of music. I fell in love with this culture and music based on the quality of music and nothing else. That thing that got me in love with this is still in me.

AllHipHop.com:  It seems like you have a love/hate relationship with Hip-Hop and its current state. The question then becomes: Why Hip-Hop?

Nino Bless: I shall quote Bubba Sparxx. "I ain't choose to rhyme, rhyming chose me."
