I copped both, even though I'm definitely more of a Ye supporter, just b/c i have Fif's relentless antics when it's album time. I think the whole beef thing is so played and immature, I mean I haven't had beef (at least what's honestly equivilent to this so called beef) since high school.

Graduation is more my speed, but like dude said earlier if i feel like breakin somebody off i might bump some Fif.

I find it interesting Yayo's role in the album when you see the liner notes (A&R, etc.) and the pics that look like their Ciara on the inside, if it's not ol' girl then she got a dead ringer out here who should be cashin in off her likeness!

Yet when he does it, people are quick to say what a "smart businessman" the guy is. Personally, I'm sick of it. Hell, his album was pushed back like 2 or 3 times BECAUSE it didn't have any buzz!

Look at the weird symbolics behind the Sep 11, 2007 release date.

I deciphered the numbers 6 and 9 throughout 50cents advertising for his album release date (6/26/2007). The date has now been changed to September 11, 2007. Kanye West will release his album on this date as well.

Strange that there would be a big commotion by 2 artist that everyone who knows of these 2 artist know that they have big EGOS. Sometimes we need that machoism to inspire all of us. But for these 2 brothers with there past situations and styles, there is something symbolic. I believe its more of a sign from God. Look at both of their various styles and latest releases leading up to their releases.

I love both of these songs but look at the parallel planes that they are travelling, money and stubbornness. Look at how their music is going out to the masses and how the weather has been acting lately all over the world. God is a jealous God. Well, i do think that this "contest" can have major implications on hip hop. It shows whether real hip hop or gimmick hip hop sells. Rite now 50 is just another crack rapper, with nothing genuine to say so he really represents the bullshit in music. I honestly think that some of these folks who gasing 50 is just because he aint beign real like Ye and dropping all that fake gangsta shit. So we will see if thats the case for the fate of hip hop, if exaggerated lies is the way to fruitful benefits or will real music be pushed to the forefront again. This confrontation can assist albums like Lupe, Saigon and any of the real artistes still coming out, or it can give more fuel to gimmick and crack rappers to stay monotonous and painfully generic and show that they still can sell with that formula. It matters folks, its either a shift or a closed door to some form of music so I have to fight for the one I believe in. I HOPE HIP HOP CAN GRADUATE ON 9/11, AND BRING BACK THE PRINCIPLES THAT WERE SO IMPORTANT TO ITS RISE WHEN THE FOREFATHERS WERE LAYING THE PATH. Anyway, I've checked both of these discs now and neither one is really making me jump out of my seat. They're both respectable cuts from dudes who could do better, but I think when you come out as atrong as both of these artists did logevity is not certain. So, Ima weigh in an say that in the end it's all gonna come down to how many fans are still in 50's camp. A couple of years ago Fif could do no wrong, now who knows. Kanye will sell the same as he did last time, I don't see him losing a following like his, cause college kids are always gonna buy that kinda music. Me though, I'n gonna wait for new shit from Papoose, The Clipse, Ray Cash and about 10 others, Kanye and Fifty Cent don't need my money. Fuck 'em!

I'm buyin both, simply because it's 2 different types of hip hop. You can't even really argue whats better or what you like more because a person who likes shoot em up bang bang will cop Fif, a person who likes realism and everyday issues will cop Ye. My music appetite tends to vary as much as my appetite for food. I can't eat the same shit every day. Hell somedays I listen to classic rock. Therefore I'll grab both. I'll probably listen to the Fifty first though If that means anything.

i downloaded kanyes album and liked it so its on preorder, but i'll prob get curtis's too at some point, just not on release. i dont mind 50 but i gotta be in the right mood whereas with kanye, 'cause of the mix of sounds he has, i can just put a track or two from his album on at any time and be into it.

Okay hold up a second folks. Both 50 and Kanye contribute to hip hop because music changes with our moods. Lately i do feel 50 has been slippin off in la la land but that does not mean he cannot pump out a good track still. Kanye on the other hand keeps consistent but does put out tracks as wack as the next persons. I think those two kats should just sit down and work on ways to filter out the cancer in hip hop created by the bling bling error. Its cool to be fashionable and its nice to smack a hoe but lets try to show kids in the hood that there is alot out there for them other than just driving around in bentleys. How about making songs that tell real stories like the ones too short and devine the dude would make. Stories about shit that went down in your hood.

odiesel, first of, it don't care about what fif is doing to the culture and what not in terms of violence.
