.......Concepts of God have always been deep in the history of blacC(minority) cultures.The idea of surviving through pain and suffering to C better days is at the core of the struggle.
Some of the coldest street folk I know speak on and express beliefs in god and while many question just what exactly is the point and whats going on.In a world that is so crazy and so full of forces that want to C us fail.The belief/faith in there being a higher power is very important.

From another view point when soooooo many folk come up within disjointed/broken' homes there seems to be a something missing that many spend the rest the of their lives searching for.Some sense of belonging.

So many of these rappers talk tough behind there guns and money but deep they know there just a tiny part of something bigger.And thats whats sprinkled throughout hiphop from jesus pieces, to cross tattoos and religiously inspired lyrics....

What ppl need to understand for the last time is that jay does not think he is god. He call himself God MC J Hova as a way of saying that he is the best and nobody is higher than him. By me saying this does not mean that I do not know who God is or that I dont accept him as my lord and saviour. Ppl need to stop trying to hold a microscope to hip hop and just understand it. This is a platform where ppl can display there creativity. Its just a metaphorical phrase to show his clout in the rap game and thats it. He also acknowledges that it might be taken as blasphemy as hes says in his lyrics but that is not how he intends it to come out. The more u criticize the more u put boundaries on creative minds.

I do see the point of this, but whoever wrote this didn't close it off; it seems like it's unfinished.

It's a good concept for an article, but you did "read too much into this".

Your tangent went a little too far with quoting the Bible.

You should've used quotes and excerpts to break up the different points you were trying to make.

You kinda just started to ramble on a bit without reiterating your point at the end.

The funny thing is that he's not the first to call himself the God MC. Rakim used to call himself that all the time. Hes just added the hova part. Has he told me personally...lol..u a funny dude. A lot of people in the hood question God or don't believe in God. Some people don't grasp the concept of praising something they can't see so they look up to the tangible. Also, the song if about where he is from, hence the title of the song. It's just entertainment people.
