that killer mike "can you hear me" goes hard, I didn't even mind the autotuned up chorus on there cause the song was so live. it was a little more subtle than on some tracks.

I actually was a fan of autotune till everybody started using it as of late. after roger & zapp, you would here a few people here & there but t-pain ressurected it. it was cool cause he brought it back, that was kinda was like his signature. ... but now you got everybody & there mama doing it just because. its overkill & un neccessary in some cases. a lot of these mufuckers don't even sound right with it. t-pain went back to rappin on these niggas lol. its just entirely to many niggas making tracks with that shit now.

I have always liked the voice effect shit. I do agree that it has gotten out of hand though. Not every artist sounds good with that over their voice but some do. I think you have to have the righ kind of swag to pull it off. T-pain is killing it on the hooks. They are fast funky and have a great flow to them. Lil Wayne sounds like a dying rat with it though. There needs to be an Auto Tunes/Vocodor, or what have you, approval committey for them.

I hope Lupe never ever retires. He's too talented and young to do that, but he isn't selling like he should. His label isn't puting the right singles out for the radio. I think he should go irndy with it and do his own thing like Ice Cube.

That Y.B. joint is just ok. The dude with him at the end of the video talking's name is J-Diggs. He is one of the best in the game right now, in my opinion. He spits nothing but the truth. Did 10 years in the feds for robbing banks with Mac Dre.

You're free to disagree or agree however you like. I don't tell you what to like. i tell you what do and don't but I think I'm fairly objective about it.

I've seen many cycles in this music. my frame of reference is larger than many, so my opinions may have a different slant form someone who got in with illmatic or who got in with the Kool Herc. but i think my range is solid enough to give an informed opinion. this shit gets over 10,000 hits on a day when no one is home or they are drunk watching football. Somebody gives a shit or at least wants to hear what I pick.

as far as the good music comment, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches are cool when you're a kid, or even now. but if you just eat that you will get sick and develop issues because it's not enough nutrition on its own. So If everybody is autotunin and nobody is plug tuning sooner or later that imbalance is going to topple over. I believe we passed that point.
