We can wait and wait on Dre's Detox to come out andbe patient bout it... But, he can't do the same for his other artists' b/c they are not him... Regardless of how long he (DRE) makes us wait for Detox, we are still going to cop it.. and it's going to sell like ice cold water on a HOT SUNNY DAY!

Baltimoreson is right though, Aftermath does seem to be a career graveyard....... go to the website, see how many artists are REALLY signed to Aftermath, most of them you ain't heard of, or ain't heard nothin from since the sign on..... look at Eve, she's back at Ruff Riders (for the second time).... Rakim never dropped.... Busta's Sales on Aftermath were softer than any other album he's put out..... The only cat from Aftermath doin a damn thing is Eminem, and all the artists on his label (again, peep the website) ain't gettin much shine either... There's a FEW of them that got onto the "Re Up" album, but he's got a larger roster than that.....

Raekwon is a smart man, he's tryin to make sure that he don't end up like Method Man when he drops a street gospel....

i usually dont post comments but Rae is clearly one of the best and one most underrated lyricists when ppl are naming their top ten. Rae is one of the tightest emcees alive plain and simple. A lot of these rappers today are not lyricists, and they are not emcees. They do not understand the process at all. Unfortunately that is the current state of the industry. Only real Hip Hop artists can bring the artform back to life and stop compromising the art for a little bit of fame.

I always appreciate it when real lyricists like Rae express themselves. The politricks in the industry is real because the people running the big labels don't give a damn about Hip Hop they just want to exploit it. They have a lot of support from some of these clowns masquerading as rappers too.
