When are rappers truly going to be entrepeneurs? Another clothing line ? C'mon dog be real. This is write off money. What if Diddy and Jay-Z linked up and formed a label distriubution company? Or if 50 Dre and Em all put up 50 mil each and bought controlling interest in a sports team ? talk to me when rappers other than Hov are making moves like this. That's about some money!

Why not. At least compared with other Artists LL is not in the fashion biz for a minute. He was really the first artist to represent Hip-Hop fashion in the 80s.

Since Fashion is a good side hustle. I am at it's source in

company in China. So no need to pay licensing companies
and Agents, if you can get it direct. We can do t-shirts,

Cant knock the hustle but I cosign Dr. E! When these niggas gon start putting they money and heads together and invest in shit that gives us control and power over our own shit whether it be music or whatever.

A clothing line investment is not a power move. Thats a "target the people who have less than me" move and make quick money.

Ima a big fan of LL Cool J but this really dont make sense! Seeing he is over 40 I believe or close to it, I would think he would go for a more older professional look to help phase himself in a more professional business like image like suits or somehting. There he could become a full time actor which is where the real money is.

This is his last album with Def Jam(hence Exit 13) contractually and they have a seat in the Presidents office vacant now so why not go for it? He could fulfill his current obligations to Def JAm as an artist, become President of Def Jam(we all know he helped make Def Jam what it is now), sign himself as an artist and comeback to rap with control his own budget and destiny since he cried about how Hov aint do shit for him! Thats IF he wanted to contine to do music for his fanbase

Unfortunately, we dont look at the bigger picture. We go for the now money! This is a prime example why Jay-Z is running circles around the competition when it comes to business.

One thing that does differ with this clothing is the texture. In the photos, you can't really see anything but the design itself. The quality of the fabric and stitching alone is above par, but the actual designs on a lot of pieces are layered materials, different textures, etc. Definitely stands out from the pack when you see it in person.

i like the line & for all the naysayers, the man has to start somewhere in fashion. Russell Simmons didn't come out from the door with an upscale line, nor did Fubu, nor Rocawear, nor Sean John and all of these companies have been successful and eventually opened a line of business wear and even formal wear. He has to establish his brand and what better way than to do that except cater to the hip-hop crowd who's supported him all these years. I'm just hoping he tones the look down some because these shirts with all this shit all over it and jeans with all the shit all over the back pockets has pretty much ran it's course. The jeans pictured aren't bad at all. I'm gonna get a few pieces as soon as I can.

This is not the first time he has debuted this line of clothes. The Todd Smith line first debuted in 2006. It's not new though he's trying to act like it is. Guess no one cared the first time around.
