It's Troy a.k.a. Mr. Gadget T, back with a few toys I found this week that I thought were pretty cool. Let me know what you think!

Research In Motion (RIM) has long been a staple for many business professionals with their Blackberry devices. They have even recently made huge strides with the general consumer with the release of their Pearl and Curve.

It’s been recently leaked by TheBoyGeniusReport.com that RIM has a new consumer phone called the KickStart. It’s a clamshell design which is a first for them.

Here are a few of the features:

  • Quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE
  • "Next Gen" SureType keyboard
  • 2 Megapixel camera
  • 16-bit color LCDs
  • Internal LCD is 240×320, external one is 160×128
  • Wi-Fi b,g
  • 3.5mm headset jack
  • OS is 4.6

No word on the price yet, but it should come out around September ’08.

The next thing I wanna show you Jott.com. It’s an interesting concept; Jott is a free service that allows you to send emails, texts and reminders to yourself, people in your contact list and to web services by calling a phone number.

I’m ending this week with the A-100 HD ($179) media streamer from Popcorn Hour.  What does it do you ask? It takes your digital media whether from PC, NAS, digital camera, USB device, internal HDD (not included) and even directly from the Internet via the Media Service Portal such as Youtube.

If you’re into file sharing, you can use it as BitTorrent peer-to-peer downloader. The list of spec is real deep but I didn’t wanna leave anything off:
