I'm a celebrity trainer. Most people ask me how they can condition there upper body because their legs are fine. Well, I have to tell you that running is a great exercise but does nothing for your upper body. If upper body conditioning is what you want then you have to resort to jumping jacks which is a great way to tone your entire body and pushups. Conditioning your upper body will help bring out your abs and make you look more cut over all. If you notice when you go to the gym all those guys that fun for hours a day and they have tits and guts thats because their upper bodies are not conditioned.

Don't forget to separate your goals when it comes to getting in top physical condition. Doing crawls forward and backward on the ground is very difficult and a great upper body workout.

Do squats and lunges for the legs, those are the best.

Any questions hit me up at

SPATE MAGAZINE
www.SPATEMAG.com
Antoine@spatemag.com

Personal Trainers » PersonalTrainers.fitnessabc.com - Shape Up: Three Keys To Success - Strenth Training

PingBack from http://personaltrainers.fitnessabc.com/?p=847

re: Shape Up: Three Keys To Success - Strength Training

@MU$H THE GREAT

Regular crunches always give the best results. I would encourage u to get a pilates ball. U can do several crunch workouts and ur still using ur natural core muscles. Between working ur core muscles, balancing urself on the ball, which leads to a stonger core to do more crunches,u will get quicker definition. Please keep in mind that ur diet and cardio plays a big factor also.

Phil Moe

re: Shape Up: Three Keys To Success - Strength Training

@phil moe - I'm check that out then. preciate the intel

re: Shape Up: Three Keys To Success - Strength Training

Good Article.
I'm Active Military, but i started weight training when i was about 13 and been doing it ever since. In my opinion, the best thing for beginners is Calisthenics, (such as variations of push ups, crunches (negative or reversed), pull ups, etc. (Pull ups alone will bulk up ur upper body/arms and cardio will get you ripped).
Start with challenging yourself with mastering your own body weight first, with Calisthenics, then move on to free weight training. Don't jump right into weight training...read up on it first: techniques, different types of weights (kettle bells, flat plates), your form while executing, etc. Also do not forget Cardio/Aerobic exercise (running, swimming, biking, walking) this will cut down body fat and keep a good heart rate which is what bodybuilders also have to work on. theres alot of good info and advice from beginner to expert so take advantage of the sorces out there.
(a good over all book is Arnold Schwarzenegger's "The Encyclopedia to Body Building." (great info, good routines)!!!

re: Shape Up: Three Keys To Success - Strength Training

Good read and real good information... That is so true. I'm a fitness trainer so relate to this. One more thing though, you can breath through your mouth or nose; they both have their advantages. Breathing through your mouth helps release the stress you're feeling under the weights and breathing through you nose at a control pace calm your nerve and help you to relax better.
Bigg G Dogg
