he is everything to that team....yes lebron is everything 2 the cavs...but cp3 has stepped up this year. they've been a lottery team since baron davis left...it took a few seasons but the hornets are lookin' towards their first play-off series since BD left. not only that but they COULD end up wit the best record in the west. i KNOW no one thought this team would b this good...not even the team itself probably. as for t-mac, kg and kobe....all of their teams can win without them(although it would b harder 4 houston to win if t-mac was hurt as well as yao). but 4 some reason i feel CP3 wont win it...although he deserves it the most. but he still gets my vote(if i could vote for MVP)

the question is who is the most VALUABLE player not who is the best player on the best team. this is why rarely get the rational behind the player who gets the award. if you follow the letter of the award then LEBRON "KING" JAMES is hands down the MVP with CP3 and Kobe Bryant close behind. If you take Lebron off of the Cavaliers, you have the worse team in the league. Can you really say that about the Lakers when they boast a roster that includes Lamar Odom, Pau Gasol, a young Andrew Bynum when he comes back as well as many formidable role players? I don't think so. With Bron being the ONLY player you have to game plan against, he continues to perform at a rate that no one in the league can match. The boy, Paul, is just sick. He's going to be the best point guard in the game over the next decade, in my opinion. Without Bron constantly shitting on everyone lined up against him every night, he just can't get it. Scary thing is Bron hasn't even begun to maximize his potential. Just wait, the kid just get better and better as the game continues to slow down and he realizes he can do whatever he wants to against whoever staring him in the eyes. LEBRON JAMES, hands down!

It's like this..Anyone of those guys could average the points Lebron is averaging with the team he got..I could probably average 10 pts a game myself on that bum ass team..It's not like he's beat a lot of good teams this year either..Kobe is playing better than i've ever seen from him because he don't have to do as much and he's letting the game come to him..Garnett definitely shouldn't get it..I am a KG fan but he ain't carrying his team to victories or winning games single handedly for his team such as T-Mac, CP3 and Lebron..Bottom line is T-Mac and CP3 are winning in the toughest conference..The only way T-Mac would get it is if they end up with the top record in the regular season out of the West..It's funny how nobody is giving CP3 the nod when just last year his team was in what position? Kobe should get the MVP he has the lakers #1 in the western conference, Lebron wouldn't even make it to the playoffs in the west. KG has the best record but his playing in the weak east and has 2 all-stars kobe just had Gasol and he still carries his team without bynum and Gasol like he did today vs Mavs. Chris Paul is the 2nd best deserving for the MVP. Kobe can avg 35 ppg if he wanted to but that didn't get him the MVP now he averages almost the same numbers as Lebron but has the better record if he doesn't win it this time the NBA will never give it to him.

This year Chris Paul deserves it he is a leader by example on both offense and defense nobody(but me) expected the Hornets to make the playoffs and they are on their way there.Some might argue that the Hornets been gettin lucky but they smashed almost every team they played against this year including a 25 point thrashing of the Spurs. Best player on underdog team = MVP.

Where have you been all season? Dude these cats were there before Gasol and they been holding it down without Bynum as well. They were in the top three I believe before Gasol even played which was like the first week in Feb, so what are you talkin about?

He plays better defense (shutdown perimeter defender), is more clutch in any situation (driving to the basket, jumpshot, or free-throw line), his supporting cast just got better with Gasol (remember they were atop the west with Kwame and without Bynum) and he can change a game without scoring 20 or more points, so how can you people not give it to KB24?
