See stuff like this is what the author of that Jay-Z article needs to see, a group or community of hip-hop artists needing to come together and reach out to people politically, not JUST Hov, man Hov is the man, but he's not the only person in Hip-Hop, Track is straight, major line-up.

The beat + Banner's off-flow causes this to be a mediocre track. But I can feel it largely due to the message and concept of course. I can dig...To everyone saying they're tired of these songs, get over it, we can't stress enough how important it is not to allow Mccain and Palin into that office. You don't believe me, check out Diddy's corny blogs on the Tube.

Busta = Hip Hop

Never has he attempted to fit in.

Never has he attempted to use a gimmick, arrest, past street cred or any other bullshit to sell.

He essentially does what Hip Hop was intended to do when the first dude used two turntables and a mic, and thats get the fuckin party moving.

Busta is that dude and eventhough he doesn't make any top MC lists he easily surpasses 95% of these niggas with flow.

Also Kweli is on that real-nigga-shit too.

And Banner went from that real nigga shit with Kamikaze and Crooked Letters to "Girls get down on the floor" and now he's headed back to rapping about real shit I guess.

Big Up!!

why do they keep using that Pac line "though it seems heaven sent we ain't ready to have a Black president"?

The pac line says "we ain't YET to have a black president".

It's because the vote is being based soley on race for a lot of people that have no knowledge of world politics. They just see someone that resembles themselves on the outside and support whatever he stands for even if it's something that is detrimental to our society. If it were MLK running against McCain, that would be different for me but Obama has shown too much favor to private interests for me to believe he really gives a fuck. Another thing that worries me is his stance on the Iraq war and thinking that we can just pull out. To do that would undermind our relationship with Israel whom we protect from the onslaught of Muslim factions that aim to destroy the only democratic state in the region and it would also allow for terrorist activity aimed at the US to thrive and their idealogy of one religion one race to grow throughout the Middle East. I agree we shouldn't be there in the first place but we are and there's still work to be done. It's reminiscent of Vietnam and our attempts at stopping communism, but the difference is, the Vietnamese's attacks weren't aimed at our homeland and what we stand for as a nation.
