You guys take "hip-hop" too seriously, it was a way of life, and now its a way a lot of people pretend to be to gain respect. Take a step back and look at the big picture, good music is good music, it doesnt have to be street, or be gangsta. Everybody does their thing, but the fact is if you stay so narrow-minded about hiphop and say real hip-hop is something specific, then hip-hop is going to get repetitive real fast because everybody will be rapping about the same things. See cars, drugs, guns and women.

When i first heard this song I was addmitedly disappointed, I was expecting that hard, deep rap that made EM someone who was wearin their heart on his sleeve and puttin everything he had into his raps. Same thing that made a lot of people like 2pac, he just put himself out there but when you get a certain amount of money, and the stresses you deal with are paparazzi and quite frankly miniscule stresses compared to the rest of the country who is in a recession, the music that comes out of you just isn't going to be as deep, people aren't gonna relate to the pain your going through.

Lil wayne, and yes i am talking lil wayne, has songs where he raps about pain, and struggles and such, it might not be real but people relate to it so people can dig it. Now he's so damn rich he just can't get down to that level, so he did what quite frankly you guys need to stop hating on, making music that might not be deep but carries a good flow and a nice melody. Hot Revolver is a perfect example, they've advanced from poets and are now mainstream artists, the sooner you accept that, the sooner you'll be able to listen to music without hating on it, if the subject matter isn't what you want it to be. Most of you guys sound like you got a lot of hate in your heart, so if you got hate, probably means you got pain, maybe you should be out there makin that deep music instead of talkin bout how somebody else isnt. peace

It's true Eminem is his own entity.  No one alive can mimic his style ask Asther Roth, he never could do this, he's only basic Em.  Check it the flow pattern is ill, the beat is Dre, and the hook is original.  This is a complete song.  Mafuckas on here hatin bought Soilder Boy shit and bump Jim Jones' wack ass album.....and quit callin out names of other classic songs that stand alone.  I don't want to hear a fuckin Stan remake I want to hear NEW shit and this sounds unlike any other Shady flow I've heard b-4 some people will like it fools that listen to 808's and Heartbreak won't get it.

I agree with you.  He can rap.  I don't agree that he is better than 50.  Fif is much more fun and much more commercial.  Ross is way too dark and boring, because he tells fairytales.  See Biggie told fairytales too, as well as Pac, but the difference was in the style of the way they did it.

For example, Biggie was like a Hood Reporter, you understand, he told you how it was from what he saw.  I think they did Biggie injustice in that film of his life because they tried to give him street cred as a drug dealer and Biggie really was a good kid.  

Pack too, he never got in trouble until he got in the lime light and I suspect he stirred up that arrest in Oakland where he said the cops beat he so he could get press.  The point is, Ross is a fraud in respect to being a flat out liar and if he is lying about that, than you can't trust him.

It is not about the music.  Hey, he made a few, not many, but I would say three hood burners that I like. "Hustling" was infectious, "Mafia Music" was good and the "Magnificent" remake, (which I give him half credit for because it wasn't orginal:  Special Ed, who I like everything he did)

So, I don't hate Ross skills.  I just think that he was in no position to talk shit to anybody, especially after he was barely hanging on to a career.  People can argue with me until the moon turns bleeds, but Ross doesn't have the industry props to pop shit to 50 or any artist.  He should be grateful that he slipped through the system and go a little love.  No pun attended on slipped, Slip N Slide was a good label for him, LOL.

In all seriousness, celebrities are like politicians, we accept them, like we vote for politicians and if you show your ass, we impeach you from office.  Same thing with an artist, if you show your ass, we starve you by not buying your shit and you fail.  I think Ross has a responsibility to earn his way in the game with good music and leave power houses like 50 out his mouth.  

Ross doesn't have the skills, sales, or street cred to go against 50.  So, I have no respect for Ross and if you think about what he could be doing based on his character, why would you support him.  He telling kids that you get rewarded for being a drug dealer.  He is not paying his child support.  He is flossing negativity in every sense of the word.  If you area a:

1. Father (you would not respect Ross, he doesn't support his kids)

2. A Woman (Ross disrespects woman)

3  A Kid (Ross is a horrible roll model and yes rappers are the hood super heros)

4. A fan (Ross has zero credibility and can not be trusted)

5. A novice to hip-hip (Ross is a bad place to start)

Look, 50 is not perfect, he is not that great of an artist, but whole and complete.  50 is a package.  He is marketable, he sells products, clothing, food items, movies, books, radio.  Fif has way more marketability than Ross will every have and Ross owes 50 an apology plane and simple.  He was not there, meaning at that fire, he has no right to dry snitch on 50 about setting a fire to kill his kid.  

That was bullshit and Ross should not be allowed to breath for that.  I don't mean die, I mean breath in the game of hip-hop.  So, do I hate Ross, no.  I don't even know him.   But I do love hip-hop and as a supporter of the game and a lover of the sport, I have a right to protest against Ross.  Just like I have a right to protest against a politician who fucked me over.  

I will continue to protest against Ross and any other asshole until they fall or I just get burned out with the subject.  In the case of Ross, I promise you, he will not succeed.  This economy is too bad to invest in a cop and trying to shove him down the throats of rap fans who hate cops.  Ross will never make it and he has hung himself good.  The only way he will ever make money in this industry, will be to start a label and sign credible artist and distance himself from the artist as much as possible.  

In some many words, Ross will have to be a ghost version of a CEO of a record label.  However, if Ross is so blind by fame, and keeps believing his own bullshit, than he will mutate into a clown and have to go around making fun of himself like William Shatner from Star Trek and start doing Price line commercials.  This is my honest opinion from a neutral perspective.

All bias aside, in all honesty, if you listen to the content and understand what the song is about, and the funny shyt he sayin and more importantly how he sayin it, The only thing thats radio about this track is the beat and the hook (if you a real hip hop head, the beat and the hook dont mean shyt compared to the lyrical content, it only serves to compliment it).
