This is crazy!  I read about this entire story by accident through a blog on a different site.  Up until the beginning of this month/end of last month, I didn't even hear of this story.  For everyone who thinks that racism is dead in this country; you are sadly mistaken.  Hanging nooses on a tree, without question, is clearly a representation of the thousands of black people (men, women & children) who were lynched & murdered once upon a time . . . I don't need to go on.

I agree with Grafh is saying in this video & what Dutch_yrc said in his post 1,000 PERCENT!!!!  Where exactly is Harpo, Dancin'-Ass-Diddy & Jigga-Man (etc.) when their young people really need them?  Michael Bell needs decent legal representation to fight this.  There is no way in hell he should be getting 22 years in prison for fighting (self defense) - and ESPECIALLY where no one was killed or even seriously injured.

Yeah, black people have come a long way, but we haven't even halfway won this battle against all the injustices we suffer on a daily basis.

If the situation went down the way he said he did, then I really do hope things do turn out for the best. I for one am tired of a system were justice is served only for those with a big enough wallet. This is something I will definitely spread the word about because before seeing it here I had never heard about this. This is some bullshit!! I heard the story about this last year, and it took until trial time for anybody to start making noise about this? Black organizations should have been on top of this from the time it started going down. I personally spoke to Mychal Bell's father, and they're just now forming an SCLC branch there. With an 86% white ratio there should have been a branch somewhere a long damn time ago. I personally plan on going there and getting a first hand interview with the families, and will gladly post it everywhere for free. Now peep this, Jena is only a couple of hours from New Orleans, which is where you have hip hop flossiness down to a science. Like Graph said everybody is bragging about their cars, houses, jewelry, how many bitches & hoes they have, how they got money to burn, how about throwing some of this money to these families so that these kids can get a fair shot at being found innocent, like they are. AHH put a post up inviting all these rappers to join in the fight for these small town kids, and so far I've only seen 2 names come up. And I know damn well everybody in hip hop knows about AHH. Niggas can go out of their way to break WORLD RECORDS with the biggest chain, but can't step up for something like this? They can spend $250,000 on a chain or car, which depreciates as soon as you walk out the sales door, but can't help defend 6 lives that will prosper and uplift a longer chain of positive events? The media doesn't care about of as a race, so we need to make them recognize that we're not just a bunch of showboaters who leave our kind to fend for themselves against all odds without a helping hand. it doesn't take one rappers to save these kids, look at how many piss off money just because they can. Grafh is trying to enlighten his people in a very concise yet detailed manner. i really respect the way he addressed the Jena 6 crisis from a  perspective of social injustice instead of racism. even though social injustice and racism are often synonymous, racism is a topic that is very hard to tackle since the laws governing matters pertaining to racial equality are easily circumvented when it comes to how people of color,particularly african americans are treated. let's follow Grafh's lead and focus on the social inequality and the calous actions of those that are hell bent on pushing this bullshit ass agenda. big ups and much love to the brother Grafh for maning up in a major way and puting us on his back. let's do our part now.

Something definitely has to be done about this situation. Graph really made a strong point about all these rich mother fuckaz flossin' and teasing people on BET but can't spend money to fight the injustice.  This has nothing to do with black and white(I'm lying) but it has a lot to do with the injustice happening as we speak.  All these big time millionaires wait until it happens to one of their family members before they act on it.  That's why all these record sales are going bad(I just had to add that in there) and I hope their albums continue to flop.  Because when you say you want to give back to your people and your fans, you don't just help out your boys and family members, you help as many other people in the world as you can until there.

Somebody who cares spends more then half of their money on people who helped them get where they are at rather than spend chump change and make it look like you care.  So all these rappers and sports players on cribs need to get together and create an legal firm consisting of the most brilliant lawyers(spend 80 to 100 grand each if you have to and recruit from 5 states) to help out any black person who is in need of great legal representation. Especially the young and rich rappers and athletes who these young guys like Michal Bells lookup to.  Y'all need to get your minds right, before we all lose it for real. 1. THE WHITE KID PULLED A SHOTGUN ON BELL, PURVIS AND ONE OTHER BLACK KID ABOUT 3 WEEKS BEFORE THE DECEMBER FIGHT AT SCHOOL. THEY DISARMED THIS WHITE KID AND TOOK THE SHOTGUN TO THE LOCAL SHERIFF. THE 3 BLACK KIDS ARE  NOW CHARGED WITH ROBBERY!!!!!!!!!!!!

2. THE FIGHT WHERE THE WHITE KID GOT HIS ASS WHIPPED, IT WAS A BRAWL IN THE CAFETERIA[DEC. 2006]. NOT JUST 6 ON 1. JUSTIN BARKER JUST GOT HIS ASS WHIPPED THE WORST BECAUSE HE IS THE ONE WHO STARTED THE SHIT, FROM THE START WITH THE NOOSES AND CONTINUOUSLY TARGETED BELL SIMPLY BECAUSE BARKER'S EX GIRLFRIEND [A WHITE GIRL] WANTS TO DATE MYCHAL BELL. BELL WAS ARRESTED AFTER THE CAFETERIA FIGHT AND HAS BEEN IN JAIL SINCE. HE WAS 16 THEN, HE IS NOW 17.

3. SINCE GRAFH SPOKE ON THIS THE ADULT CONVICTIONS WERE TOSSED OUT 9/14/07 BUT WE STILL RALLIED. THE DA HAS 2 WEEKS [9/28/07] TO CHARGE BELL AS A JUVENILE.

4. ON 9/20 THE DA AND JUDGE SAID THEY WERE RELEASING BELL THE NEXT DAY AT NOON. WE RAISED MORE THEN ENOUGH MONEY FOR HIS 9K BAIL AND ATTORNEY'S FEES OF OVER $650K.

5. 0N 9/21 THE JUDGE IN JENA DENIED BELL'S RELEASE AND REVOKED HIS BOND. BELL STILL SITS IN JAIL NOW ON OTHER CHARGES LIKE THE ROBBERY, I MENTIONED ABOVE. ASSAULT [VERBAL] FOR CALLING JUSTIN BARKER A HONKY, AFTER BARKER CALLS HIM A NIGGER.
