This guy is disrespectful! You a grown man talking about you a child. All he care about is selling records and making money for himself. You only hate Al and Jesse because they speak against people who bring our people down like you. You talking all this about black folks but not speaking about the system that we live in. If you heard of Willie Lynch then you see he was right. DB is from Mississippi, one of the poorest most racist states in America. Where the heart of slavery was, and look how he think, it's Old blacks vs young blacks. Besides he would hate someone speaking about cleaning up hip hop when he's trying to sell an album full of negativity. He's scared he's going to lose money, because thats what it's all about. How can you hate the man who marched with Martin Luther King Jr. and stood beside him when he was assassinated? How could you hate the man who is responsible for getting the man Imus to apologize and get fired for disrespecting our women? Did you hear Imus on his show? He clearly tried to use hip hop as a scapegoat and Al defended hip hop that day. You have to be a fool to say you hate these guys. How can you hate the people fighting for the 6 black kids in Jena, Louisiana? Not that far from your home town. How can you get mad at the people who have set up teams in almost every major city to help our people fight for our rights? If you wanna hate someone hate your governor, mayor, congressman, who are responsible for keeping Mississippi one of the poorest, racist, under educated states in America? Why don't you do something to try to get clear water instead of brown water flowing in every household in Mississippi? Because you live in L.A. now and you not poor anymore. i feel the essence of what Banner is saying and anyone that knows him can dig it; he goes hard at Sharpton & Jesse, but on the cool these cats should have a pow-wow with Banner, 50, Jigga, TI & Snoop -
in the hood, when its some real drama the OG's would come in and bring er'body together to talk it out, which is what Banner is saying! Instead, Sharpie & Jacko go on O'Reilly and put us on blast like that is gone change something! And really, I don't think Banner hates them he just hates their behavior and what they seemingly stand for (or don't)...
At the end of the day, the Willie Lynch syndrome looks as if it is prevailing but honestly the hip hop movement itself is too powerful and I think that we will somehow come together like Voltron and make some power moves! There is an attack on us, because cats' like Jigga & Fitty (50) done made it out da' hood and are now worth HALF-A-BILLION... don't think THEY aren't taking notice of that, meanwhile we are seeing this and getting inspired by these brothas' cause we know they straight off the block like many of us and IF THEY CAN DO IT, WE KNOW WE CAN!

I feel what DB is saying, while I don't agree 100% with how he's presenting. But he did try being respectful and he did get brushed off. Unfortunately, if you want get YOUR Blk leaders attention you have to be offensive. YOUR Blk leaders have been too busy warring with Banner & Hip Hop in the media to bring more attention to Jena 6, because he's being offensive and NOT stepping to them as most may expect a stereotypical intelligent person would. It's sad he's going this route and it's working.

If it wasn't for Grah (who I've never liked lyrically) & Allhiphop.com I wouldn't have heard about those kids. WHY are they not FUNDRAISING for a better legal defense for them? Why are they not hitting up ALL of Black Hollywood Black Congresspersons and rappers to see about this injustice going on down south. I say injustice because this is not the first time this year I've come across excessive penalties for Black children in the South, which if the Chicago Tribune wasn't covering yet another one of these transgressions no one would know about it. At this point I don't care how ignorant these entertainers sounds or what other motivatives they have as long they are using their influence to shed some light on MORE IMPORTANT ISSUES IN OUR COMMUNITY!!!
