Rap diva Rah Digga is preparing to give fans more drama, but not on the mic.

The former Flipmode Squad member has landed a role on the big screen, in the new film Between Heaven and Earth.

The feature stars Keith David as "William James Tucker", aka "Bo," a rejected and resented father who sets out to enjoy what he believes to be his last day on earth when he is hit by a car.

Rah Digga will play David's estranged daughter in the movie, which is slated to be released in 2008 and also stars Lynda Carter.

"It's kind of like along the lines of Crash," Rah Digga told AllHipHop.com. "It's what's going on in my family and then there's another family going through the motions and through some weird supernatural way, our families collide and the story just takes off from there."

Rah Digga also has plans to address the lack of organ donations among minorities.

Nationally, minority patients made up over half of the 92,000 patients on the transplant waiting list in 2006, according to statistics from the Organ Procurement and Transplantation Network and blacks frequently have the longest time receiving organs for donation.

"There is an organization I'm trying to start down the line. I'm just looking for funding right now," Rah Digga revealed. "It's going to target minorities and getting them to understand the importance of organ doning. It's a real big problem in our community. A lot of our elders wait on these lists for kidneys and everything for years and years. People think it's the health system that's screwed up, but in actuality it's because our own people don't really donate organs when they get the opportunities."

While some may cite insurance issues or health care as the main reason behind the lack of organ donors, Rah Digga believes the cause lies more with compatibility.

"We just tend to be more compatible with our own kind," Rah Digga stated. "And if your own kind ain't really donating, then it's a problem. That's why a lot of our people are waiting on lists for 10, 20 years for kidneys and things like that."

I'm tired of fierce MC's getting the shaft being in a 'crew'. Digga can roast most MC's and homothug had her playing the wall. Wasted all those years...

go head Rah and do your thing!!  i love seeing hip hop artists transcend the music industry and broaden their horizons to all forms of entertainment...  who knows, she might even have the potential to be a recognized actress such as Latifah...
i feel her on that organ donation bit... we as Blacks need to donate more.  it just seems a little freaky though to think about someone hacking me up for spare parts when i'm gone.  not to mention, with all the drinking and smoking i've done over my lifetime, are my organs really any good to anyone, lol?
