Despite being suspended from NFL play, Adam "Pacman" Jones continues to find ways to occupy his time, as he now enters the world of music.

The controversial football player, who serves as CEO of National Street League Records, is currently preparing to release his forthcoming debut rap album with music producer Spoaty.

The duo, known as the Posterboyz, will release their self-titled debut album in 2008. The project signifies a new beginning for Jones, who plans on translating his success in sports to the music business.

"I am also an entrepreneur; it takes a team player to make plays happen so I am bonding with my staff and recording artists to make this company a success," Pac Man Jones told AllHipHop.com in a statement. "I went within myself to find a place to release my talents while I filter through my career from all of the things that have taken place around me."

Jones' musical pursuits come on the heels of him signing an exclusive contract with Total Nonstop Action (TNA) Wrestling.

Fans can catch Jones and his N.S.L. artists on the road during a promotional tour in mid-September.

The outing is slated to make stops in Georgia, Tennessee, Mississippi, and Alabama as the entertainers host community events and forums at various high schools and universities.

"Looking from the outside in, I have been the example for many to see the poster child if you will; and from that sentiment the 'Posterboyz' group name was born."

The lead single from the Posterboyz debut album is titled "Let it Shine" and is scheduled to be released on Aug. 27.

I bet the Titans find a way to stop him from doing this too! lol Though I agree with you for the most part Trey Peezy, Iverson's single actually wasn't that bad. And Chris Webber produced a track on Nas' Hip Hop Is Dead album that was pretty good.

I CAN REPECT HIS HUSTLE FOR TRYIN TO DO SOMETHIN TO KEEP HIMSELF BUSY. BUT TRYIN RAP?.. FIRST OF ALL THE HIGHEST SELLING ATHLETE TO DATE IS SHAQ, AND HE WAS ON THAT FU SCHNICK/FAMILY FRIENDLY TYPE RAP. PAC MAN DONT STRIKE ME AS GOIN THAT ROUT. NOT TO MENTION TO A BIG PART OF THE MUSIC BIZ WHEN YOU TRYIN TO GET A BUZ GOIN FOR YOURSELF MEANS YOU GOTTA BE OUT LATE NITES IN THE CLUB SCENE, AND WE ALL KNOW THAT PAC MAN HAS BAD LUCK WHEN IT COMES TO THE CLUB. THIS CAT HAS SO MUCH RAW FOOTBALL TALENT THAT HE CAN BE THE SAME KIND OF GAME BREAKER/ 2WAY PLYER THAT DEVON HESTER IS. I WISH HE WOULD JUST START A LABEL AND RUN IT AS A BUSINESSMAN AND NOT BE OUT IN FRONT OF THE CROWD WITH A MIC. THAT CAN ONLY LEAD TO MORE TROUBLE.  COULD YOU IMAGINE IF SOMEBODY THROWS SOMETHING ON STAGE WHILE HE'S PERFORMING?

I just read about this at Global Grind's myspace blog (blog.myspace.com/theglobalgrind)and I had to know the whole story...I hate when actors/athletes/models use their fame to pursue music careers.  They don't even have to try just because they are already famous.  I'm a DJ and don't have any fame to depend on other than my musical talents...
