Rapper/actor Ludacris will serve as a guest professor at an unknown college during an episode on mtvU's new upcoming season of Stand In.

According to reps for the network, MtvU camera's will follow the controversial rapper during the months ahead, as he surprises a college classroom, stands-in for a professor and "takes students "out of their books for a chance to learn from those making history today."

In addition to Ludacris, Stand In will feature guest appearances by singer Annie Lennox and Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf, President of Liberia and Africa's first elected female head of state.

Stand In, which debuts in October, is part of a slate of new programming mtvU unveiled today (August 27).

mtvU is MTV's 24-hour college network, which is broadcast to over 750 colleges across the country, with over 7.5 million student viewers.

In related news, Ludacris will kick of a new season of his XM radio show "Disturbing Tha Peace Presents: Ludacris' Open Mic" on September 8, XM also announced today.

Ludacris promises the upcoming season, which broadcasts on Raw XM 66, will not disappoint his loyal fans,

"My show on XM is the most entertaining hour of radio, period! And it only gets better with time," Ludacris said in a statement.

how is he NOT controversial???????

Which rapper was the target of the right wing propaganda machine 3-4 years ago which cost him a lucrative deal with Pepsi...because of his lyrics?

Which rapper started the whole "Oprah doesn't care about us" crusade? Which rapper actually had a legit beef with Oprah over her editing out comments?

Shoot, which rapper was recently in the news because a community didn't want him performing! Don't act like you guys forgot about that.

Ludacris is beyond controversial. Yea, he hasn't shot anybody, or been caught with that iron, or sold that work, but he has consistently been the target of Americans. You would think he was Luke the way we always hit him up over his lyrics. People don't realize that with every event that happens, a sponsor is going "hrm....I don't think Mr. Bridges would be right for us...."

It would be a treat to see him in my MGT 300 class at Southern Miss, since he's obviously a great manager, but the odds are that he's going to stop in at some random HBCU instead.....

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

HE'D LOOK EVEN MORE STUPID IF HE DOES. LMAO

HE GOT LUDA REMOVED FROM PEPSI FOR SAYING "MOVE BITCH". [WHICH WAS NOT DIRECTED TO WOMEN]. BUT HE WAS OKAY WITH THE OSBOURNES [WHO REPLACED HIM], WHO SHOW ONLY HAD ABOUT 5 MINUTES OF AUDIBLE SOUND BECAUSE OF ALL THE CURSING.

IF WE STOOD TOGETHER, WE WOULD HAVE PROTESTED THEN AND STOP FUCKING WITH PEPSI. I KNOW I DID AND STILL DO. I ALWAYS LIKED COKE BETTER ANYWAY.
