An advertisement produced by fast food chains Hardee's/Carl's Jr. that spoof's rap music has caused outraged amongst teachers in Tennessee.

The :30 second spot aired during a recently televised Tennessee Titans football game and features a group of male students in a classroom being taught by a female teacher in a tight gray skirt.

The sexy teacher stands at the chalkboard, turns, stands on her desk and begins to dance and pull on her blouse while the two male students rap about their love of "flat buns," to promote Hardee's new Patty Melt Thick Burger, with grilled, flat rye bread.

In once scene, the boys erase a portion of an oversized gluteus maximus on the chalk board, but not before flashing two finger rings that read "flat buns."

"At this very moment, there are female teachers in high school classrooms with 30+ students who are working hard to teach our children so that they can compete in today’s world," Tennessee Education Association President Dr. Earl Wiman said in a statement. "It is unbelievably demeaning to every one of them to promote a television advertisement showing a young teacher gyrating on top of her desk while boys in the class rap about her body in order to sell hamburgers.”

The "Flat Bun" promotion includes a :60 second radio spot, as well as a "Flat Buns" rap song that's available for download on Hardees.com.

Additionally, a flatbuns.com companion site was launched that features shots of various women's backsides.

The "Flat Buns" spot was created by Mendelsohn | Zien, L.A.

“I am asking that all of our members and the public who care about children and their education to contact their local Hardee’s to voice their concerns," Wiman protested. “Tennessee’s teachers work hard every day to educate the children of this state. Working with parents, we strive to teach and reinforce good behavior so that all students have the chance to learn in a safe and orderly environment, and we strongly resent those who flaunt their disregard for both teachers and the children we teach.”

Representatives for Hardee's were not available at press time.

Hardee's is a wholly owned subsidiary of the publicly traded company CKE Restaurants. The company has a total of 3,105 franchised Hardee's or Carl's Jr. restaurants in 43 states and 13 countries.

I don't know, but I went to high school in Nashville and those teachers get paid shitty and deal with just as much shit. They have every right to complain.  A lot of kids nowadays are crazy, although I'm just 22, I feel I'm old enough to see how the younger generation are digging themselves a hole. It is a wack commercial, but that is what we get for letting hip-hop become so mainstream.  Wow, I was way off topic with that one.  Oh well.

wow...i know that the comercial was a parody to mock rap videos but has the hatred for hip hop gotten this bad to ban a commercial? dont get me wrong a few things they said about the commercial should of been tuned down for the audience watching (mixed family crowd). i wonder if the commercial was screened before it was shown but they werent that bad to try and cancel it. besides, the teachers i remember werent all that attractive when i went to school. they were old ugly over the hill women. you'd get that one young teacher though, that everyone was nice to. they never dressed all skanky though.

THEY CREATED THE SPOT AND HARDEES. BUT AH, THIS AIN'T HIPHOP. NOT BY A LONG SHOT. BUT HIPHOP WILL BE BLAMED.

AMERICA IS ATTACKING HIPHOP BECAUSE THEIR KIDS, LOVE IT, ADORE IT AND CAN'T GET ENOUGH OF IT. LMAO

WTF DID THEY EXPECT? ACCORDING TO MY ELDERS, WHITE FOLKS KIDS HAVE ALWAYS BEEN RAISED AND TAUGHT ALL THEIR MANNERISMS BY BLACK FOLKS. NAMELY BLACK WOMEN. THEY CALLED THEM, HOUSE MAIDS, NURSE MAIDS AND MAMMI'S. BUT THE POINT IS, OUR GREAT GRANDMOTHERS, AND SO ON, RAISED THOSE WHITE CHILDREN, FOR OVER 3 OR 4 HUNDRED YEARS. IT'S IN THEM TO COPY WHAT WE DO. BLACK FOLKS GOT SPUNK, PAZAZZ AND CHARISMA. WE HAVE ALWAYS SET THE DAMN MARK AND WHITE AMERICA BITES IT.

IT'S ONLY WHEN IT GOES WRONG FOR THEM, DO THEY DEMAND WE CHANGE IT. CAUSE THEY FUCKED UP TRYING TO DO IT. LOL

BEING INSULTING AND OVER THE TOP IS THEIR THING. NOT OURS!

WE HAD NO CONTROL OVER HOW POPULAR HIPHOP GOT. THAT IS WHAT THE FOREFATHERS WANTED. THIS WAS CREATED AS TOOL TO GET OUR VOICES HEARD. NOW, OVER 25 YEARS LATER, HIPHOP HAS A LIFE OF IT'S ON. IT'S NOT THE NEW ART FORM ANYMORE. IT'S THE NORM.

BUT IN AMERICA, IT'S ALWAYS ABOUT MONEY. SOON AS THE POWERS SAW HIPHOP AS SOMETHING PROFITABLE, IT WAS ON. SO WE CAN'T BE HAPPY ON ONE SIDE, SEEING OUR PEOPLE EATING BETTER AND THEN ANGRY ON THE OTHER SIDE, BECAUSE IT'S POPULAR. IF IT WASN'T THE NEW POPULAR, THEN WHAT? THERE WOULD BE NO MONEY TO MAKE IN IT. GRANTED I DON'T LIKE HOW THE LABELS, HO THESE ARTIST. NOT AT ALL. THAT IS PARTLY THE FAULT OF THE ARTIST TOO. FOR NOT READING.

IT'S OUR CULTURE AND RIGHT NOW, IT IS UNDER ATTACK. BUT WE STILL FIND TIME TO WASTE, ARGUING OVER WHO'S SELLING THE MOST, WHO IS THE TIGHTEST/WHACKEST ALL THAT. THE POWERS SEE THE PROFITABILITY. NOTHING MORE.

SO WHAT ARE WE GONNA DO TO SAVE IT? CAUSE CHANGING IT IS NOT AN OPTION. INDIVIDUALS MAKE UP HIPHOP. IT WILL NEVER BE ALL ONE STYLE. HENCE:INDIVIDUALS.

WHAT NOW?

A lot of you think issues like these are not important don't realize how vunerable the mind is and how slowly, images and sounds shape your thoughts and perception of reality. This is not cool, first for the reasons mentioned by the teachers and secondly they are making a parody of what you all say you love which is hip hop. Next they will be rockin black face and doing the chicken noodle soup to sell Campbells, and yall say no big deal, right? Where Premo at I need a sound byte on the current state of hip hop.

This is nothing but the continued attack on rap and anything rap related, but it will always be that way. Back in the day Blues and Jazz musicians were considered to be seedy individuals (some of them were lol). The same with Rock N' Roll all musical styles invented by Black people by the way. It's amazing how crazy those country singers are and they are not even a blip on the radar screen.
