Rappers Wyclef Jean, DJ Jazzy Jeff and CL Smooth and Marley Marl and KRS-One are among the artists featured on the soundtrack to Electronic Arts' upcoming game NBA LIVE 08.
NBA LIVE 2008 will feature hit singles like "Tambourine" by Eve, "The Way I Are" by Timbaland featuring Keri Hilson and "All I Know" by Jazzy Jeff featuring CL Smooth.
NBA LIVE 2007, which was the top selling basketball title for 2006, will debut five new songs, including new singles from Mark Ronson, The D.E.Y. & Kevin Michaels featuring Wyclef Jean.
"When it comes to defining new music for the coming year, the NBA LIVE soundtrack is the music industry's top playmaker," said Steve Schnur, Worldwide Executive of Music and Marketing at EA. "On previous soundtracks, we've introduced acts like Fabolous, Gnarls Barkley, Lupe Fiasco and Mark Ronson."
The game is currently in development at EA Canada in Vancouver, BC and is due in stores on October 2.
"We’re proud to have what may be the strongest singles ever from Eve, Timbaland and Stephen Marley," Schnur continued. "The goal remains to further define the global cultural phenomenon of music – and help shape its future – via one of the hottest sports videogame franchises in the world today."
