Hip-Hop mogul Percy "Master P" Miller continues his charitable efforts, revealing that he will be building and expanding P. Miller Youth Centers in impoverished cities in the United States.

According to Miller, he is opening a number of P. Miller Youth Centers, which will include a  gymnasium and a library at each center.

The mogul will start in New Orleans and then open P. Miller Youth Centers in Detroit, Chicago and Los Angeles.

“Our goal is take kids off the streets, provide education, financial literacy, and hope for a real future," Master P said of the centers. "We want our kids to pick up a book or a ball and put down the guns. It is time to save our kids… let’s give them a better vision."

Master P, who was recently named NAACP Youth Ambassador by Julian Bond, the Executive Director of the NAACP, has sold over 75 million CDs and is the father of actor/rapper Romeo, as well as the older brother of rappers C-Murder and Silkk The Shocker.

The mogul recently released his first book Guaranteed Success, which reveals his rise to the top and what it takes to make it in business.

He also runs Take A Stand Records, a profanity free record label co-owned by his son Romeo.

I feeling P, I thought it would be Jay Z, who would emerge as a activist and leader for blacks but P has really embraced the challenge. I have a tremendous respect for P for attempting to enlighten these misguided rhyme spitters and salvage what culture we have left. It's no limit P, keep it going.

P is the only rapper that is seeing beyond the bullshit in the game jay-z sold out to the devil and the rest of the high profile rappers are lost trying to outdo each other meanwhile kids are killing each other based on what they write about. Even these athletes are suckas cause they get rich and forget about the hood or ghetto they come from. P may have been a wack rapper but he doing the right thing with his paper by giving back.

Where do some of you people get your information?

Master P never hated on hip hop. All he said was it needed to go back to being diverse, and having more variety. And actually have music that children should and can listen to.

@ shynebb4life
I do not know the exact number of albums sold, but it has to be damn near 75 million. You don't make 400 million dollars in five years going platinum just a couple of times. Let's hope he builds a youth center near you.

@SUGGANUTZ
How much of P's music have you actually heard. Ghetto D is a classic, and his other albums were on point to. The man actually made real life music. He had his party joints of course, because people in the south like to party. He had his riding music, because people in the south like their cars more than the average person, and we ride out. He had his dope man music, because at one point he was slaggin. He had his personal songs, because growing up in New Orleans he suffered a lot of tragedy and loss of loved ones and friends. And he had music for the ladies, because when it all boils down after family comes the ladies. Nearly all of his music is stuff he lived through in life, or seen around him in his life. Some of his later music lacked good production, but to make a generalization of him being wack as a rapper is misguided and unsupported by fact.

@   mellimell3,

Im taking a wild guess that we must be close in age range....i like your post to them other people in this forum....

as for Master P ... This guy was HEAVY back in his days.....This is not the first proiject for this man.....He has done many things for the SOUTH area....I recall when i graduated from highschool in 99' that he had already built some sort of museum and other learning things for students....and some recreation centers....Im guessing the Hurricane Katrina has removed this stuff.....Master P made more money from the underground shows then he did selling albums....until this day his company put the most songs onto one album...like 24+ songs....and you were gauranteed to like atleast 50% of the CD....I hated Mystikal music...never understood none of his shit...still not to sure how that man sold so many records....must be because there are others in this world who speak his language...lol....

Anyways, Master P has always helped everyone since the 90's folks...He is much better then any rapper, actor/actress, etc...
