AHH Stray News: The Game, BMF Indictments, MC Hammer, Tony Yayo

Wednesday, November 07, 2007 2:04 PM | 59 comments

The Game will launch his European division of The Black Wall Street with a new mixtape titled Internationally Known. BWS Europe’s debut mixtape will be released for free on bwseurope.com on November 11 and will feature features exclusive material from The Game, Juice, Clyde Carson and BWS Europe's first artist, Austrian rapper Big J.

A new federal indictment has been issued in Atlanta against members of Black Mafia Family (BMF), accusing the group of laundering money and transporting drugs. The fifth indictment against BMF charges 20 more people with trafficking drugs or being involved in the drug trade on behalf of the gang, which also published a magazine, Juice, and a record label, BMF Entertainment. More than 200 officers raided 21 locations in California, St. Louis and two in Atlanta. Thirteen individuals were arrested in the raids, bringing the total number of arrests to over 100. Among those arrested in California were members of a Compton, California street gang that allegedly supplied the Black Mafia Family with cocaine. Recently, Jacob "The Jeweler" Arabov pleaded guilty to helping the group launder over $270 million dollars in drug proceeds.

Oakland, California rapper MC Hammer is preparing to beta-test his latest venture, social media site Dancejam. DanceJam.com was founded by MC Hammer, Anthony Young and Geoffrey Arone. The site allows users to upload clips of themselves dancing and will feature contests and interactivity, where viewers can rate clips and receive dancing instructions from MC Hammer himself. "I have kept Dancejam under wraps as long as I could," Hammer said. "This is the first step of three that have been birthed from the music of the upcoming album Look U. The new music business will be built upon companies like Dancejam that will allow users to interact, communicate, compete and be the central figures of the music they love and that resonates with them. This will also help the music industry bring down the cost of marketing, and help aid the music industry in determining what is organically ‘Hot." For more information visit www.dancejam.com.

The 14-year-old son of Jimmy "Henchmen" Rosemond will have to testify at Tony Yayo’s assault trial on January 10. Yayo, born Marvin Bernard, is accused of backhanding the boy in March of 2007, when he saw him wearing a CZAR Entertainment shirt. Yayo is charged with endangering the welfare of a child, assault in the 3rd Degree, and harassment in the 2nd Degree. He has pleaded not guilty and claims to have witness who will refute the claim that he struck Rosemond’s son. "You know how it’s supposed to be how you innocent until proven guilty? I’m guilty until I’m proven innocent," Yayo told AllHipHop.com in a recent interview. "And it’s like certain venues be like ‘We don’t want Yayo to walk the red carpet next to 50, or we don’t want that.’ Listen, these motherf**kers care about 50’s money. My whole thing is, Bro, I don’t care about 50’s money. I don’t care about Bank’s money. If we was to be broke tomorrow, I would be with them figuring out who we would be going to rob."

So I guess soon the Game will be talking with a British accent.

Not to promote illegal actions but its HARD to survive in any ghetto and I don't knock anybody's hustle because I'd hit the street again if I had to but instead I work 3 jobs now.  But BMF is getting hit hard and for what surviving?  You got killers in any organization that don't mean the whole crew crazy - they locked 100 people so far that means 100+ families just went poor that means another 100+ people will have to turn to new crimes ya dig!  Don't nobody terriorize shit in the hood because we all live together as necessary - just like WHITE kids wake up & go to school & start killing people sometimes in the hood you have to go out & break a head or leg or some shit.  This is life and whoever don't understand it won't survive long.

I read what Boss Up wrote, and I actually initially had the same thoughts...How can you respect someone who robs, kills, terrorizes and hurts their own people.  I hear all of that...

But then I took a step back, and had to analyze the situation...

Folks, as much as we all wanna jump on Boss Up, check ya self first.  We live in a country where movies like Scarface, Menace II SOciety, New Jack City, King of New York represent what we like to call the "American Dream".  I guarantee almost everyone on here "idolized" in their own way Tony Montana, mainly because he was a go getta.  He was a hustla who was about his money, and about gettin' it by any means necessary.

I'm not defending Boss Up by any means, but ya'll gotta sit back and analyze the situation.   BMF was out there gettin' money...period.  I'm not defending their actions, because I'm sure it caused much pain and suffering against PEOPLE...not just OUR people, but people in general who were using drugs, buying, selling, and shootin' guns and the whole nine.  SO, I'm not defending their actions.  But coming from an environment where it can be "kill or be killed", you have to live by the laws of the jungle....and that is every man for himself.  You gotta stay on your grizzly...

It's unfortunate these cats were hurtin' their own people....but be honest...in this crazy world, sometimes you gotta do what's best for you and yours...

So stop jumpin' on Boss Up so hard...

We do not live in a Jungle. Hasnt been a jungle for a long time. There was a time when you had to hustle. That time has passed us. Now is the time to pick up a book and take advantage of the things that have been laid out for us by the people that had to hustle. This is not the 50's 60's 70's 80's early 90's when most of our peeps had to hustle and scrap to get by. Anybody that says they Have to hustle is just making an excuse for being lazy. There are so many opportunitys out there right now for young poor people green, white, black, yellow whatever color you want to choose. Your argument is weak very weak leave the intelligent discussions for the Grown Folks.

^^ I totally disagree wit your comment homie. Have you ever tried gettin a job when you have two felony convicttions of distribution of a controlled sibstance? Attempted murder? Numerous assaults? No driver's license? My brother is 30 years old and he had to deal with life with those same circumstances I just described. Now he's doin 10 years in the joint becuz of the cards that society dealt us. He's spent 13 of his 30 years behind bars. But I bet you had da good life growin up...don't be so quick to pass judgement. Try helpin people educate themselves, besides tryna expose their ignorance...

I know about 5 felons right now working driving cars and have familys that they support. They dont make excuses that since they are a convicted felon they cant survive. Is it hard? Yes but you put yourself in the position so dont bitch about it.

convicttions of distribution of a controlled sibstance?
His fault. if not whos fault?

Attempted murder?
His fault. If not who' Fault?

Numerous assaults?
His fault. If no who's fault?

No driver's license?
His fault. If not who's fault?

You have to come better then that HOMIE!

Society aint deal him those cards doing dumb shit dealt him those cards. Stop making excuses for people that do dumb shit.
He did 13 of his 30 years in jail? Did you ever think maybe he likes jail? He keeps going back. Maybe he dont know better? What you think? You think he couldnt of done better? I aint judging I am speaking from my own experience. What are you doing ? Did you learn from your brother fuck ups? Is your brother telling you to make excuses for him?

I understand da fact dat people should take responsibility for their actions, but your missing my point. If someone comes from a background where they don't have shit, and no one to teach them, then they're destined to become a product of their environment - THE JUNGLE. I didn't ask for your family tree history, but I'm glad you CAN relate to what I'm sayin.

And as for your question about me, mane, I'm probably one of the smartest dudes out here. See I chose to educate myself. Yeah, we all do our dirt and shit, but if you don't take heed, and learn from your mistakes, then you gone keep coming up wit da same results. But you still missed my whole point. I'm out here tryna show deez kids, and people like you that instead of criticizing, try to help. Knowledge is power!

And just for the record, I know some people that have been hustlin for longer than you've been alive, and have never step foot in a jail, or a cop car for that matter. Think about it...
