You're right JrzeeMa it probably would still be running, but it wouldn't make it any less tragic. Since he was sued by others and settled. Dr. West is high profile enough to get people to start really examining this dude's actions. Knowing how temperamental Kanye can be about his music, he is going to crusade on this cat about his mother.

The malpractice suits really don't mean much to me because in the medical field most docs settle out of court because its cheaper despite no wrong doing. This guy is so high profile c/s by oprah,  discovery ch show, cnn consultant etc. He's a target for haters. The thing that's responsible for this tragedy is
VANITY. Last time I checked it was still one of the seven deadly sins.

and that's just like white collar crimes vs. blue collar crimes...

every punishment/penalty in our society are easily handled based on status... look at Martha Stewart....

Info. is still forthcoming about the cause of death; we DON'T KNOW for sure yet, but it's easy for us on the outside to dole out blame, but lets consider for a moment.............  
Allegedly Dr. West decided to have this surgery after being advised otherwise from another qualified professional & decided to go ahead & "pretty" herself up anyhow.  
Dr. West allegedly had pre-existing conditions that were not properly considered.....
But MOST IMPORTANTLY, when ya go for surgery you got-ta do u'r due diligence & find out who this guy/gal is....When u going for something as serious as internal surgery u neeeeeeed to be check'n references on your chosen provider.  I think that's where the ball was dropped....
I can't believe Kanye or his well educated mama would have used a doctor that they knew had this type of issues on his record....
It's a very sad situation to befall anyone...!!!

Amazing how you can go through life making the best decisions, yet one sole bad decsision can cost you everything.  

Again, this situation is tragic no matter how you look at it, but at 60 years of age, how different/better can you stand to look?

This was a cosmetic procedure, but if this was your mother you wouldn't be sitting here talking about vanity or any seven deadly sins. The bottom line is that it is the doctor's responsibility to NOT PERFORM the procedure. The surgeon is the professional in this situation not Dr. West. Yes, she is educated, but she is not a plastic surgeon. This cat was thinking about the money he was going to make. Why do you think she was turned down by the other surgeons?

Yes, people can be persistent in going after what they do not need but as a professional, he is supposed to make the professional decision. To ignore the potential complications and think he is capable when he clearly botched other procedures is truly vanity as well. Plus I'm not trying to be religious about this situation. I do care about the facts and if he is found negligent he should be shut down.

I agree but you have to realize she was told by one of the best plastic surgeons in the country she needed medical clearence which she obviously failed to get. either way its tragic and i couldnt imagine losing my mother no matter what the case.

I honestly don't think the guy would have done the surgery if he felt her life was in grave danger as a result of said surgery.
However, I do think it was arrongant to elect to do an elective surgery previous surgeons declined to perform. Regardless how it turns out two things will remain constant, his career is officially over and Dr West is deceased.

The situation with Dr. West is sad and strange.

I mean look, B.I.G. is gone but his mother carries his legacy just like TUPACs mom. Kanye has to carry his mothers legacy.


The weird irony is the suspicion of a black person behind their deaths but we really dont know.

Kanyes Mom (May God be pleased with her) passes because of a supposed surgery. We still dont officially know why, but Dr. Jan is taking all the blame and the hate is on him, a black man. Then it puts a dark mood on his songs...

so right...you do not mess with Gods work.....it's a very say case but in the end surgery is supposed to be for life saving proceduers only becuase in the end, it is very dangerous in itself.
