i love xxl...the only issue i had was the damn non-stop repeats of the same people on the cover and mr. wilson constantly defending having the same person on the cover every month as a way to sell magazines...it was getting old...maybe the covers will contain a little more variety of artists...and more in depth interviews with other artists other than lil' wayne and 50 cent

I stop reading XXL just because I was tired of arrogant editorial rants.

Maine, I hope that XXL doesn't hit the skids like the Source did. Hopefully they come out better by this. I look at that joint like every month, please don't fall off!!

FUCK XXL, FUCK The Source, there is no publication that I look for every month (mostly thanks to sites like allhiphop, hiphop dx, sohh.com..etc.), but because they put lame ass niggaz like 50, LIL Wayne on their covers and neglect real hiphop niggaz, for which they were founded on, one of the first to put the Goodie Mob on their cover, Raekwon, real ma'fuckas who put a dent in the game, now look at their mag (I'm a subscriber, not for long though) it's full of fluff wrapped around one or two stories. It's fucking garbage.

Ass much as I enjoyed YN, his routine has become tired and I can't believe he got canned because XXL numbers are down, because there really isn't any other competition in Hiphop publications, but he must of pissed somebody off. Fuck it...move on.

Holy cow, this is news.... Somebody on here was talking about the days of Raekwon and G.M. on the covers; that's how I started reading XXL. But everything is 'big business' now. SALES!! I mean, SCRATCH folded-- one of the best reads EVER. You can't sell magazines with Saigon on the cover. 12yr. old 1/2 Haitian girls don't buy that. E. Wilson (the product if Russell Simmons and Ice- T had a child) will be fine, he's got those nasty yellow fingers in plenty. I don't wanna make AHH feel bad (*snicker*), but these forms of publications cannot survive anymore. Why wait a month to read 1/8 the shit you can get on here daily?? Funny thing is I was thinking of writing in to XXL to complain about YN's monthly stupid ass editorial rants. Guess I won't have to be doing that anymore! lol But seriously, the guy was annoying and I got tired of seeing G-Unit on the cover of every other issue. Besides, like most of the people on here pointed out, why subscribe for a mag when you can get the same info the day it happens on the net? The entire publication industry is going downhill, including newspapers and magazines, so this may just be the best thing that every happened to him.
