Multi-Platinum Producer Timbaland will release a completely mobile album
to Verizon's V Cast customers it was announced today (February 8).

Timbaland will record the album over the course of the year on
Verizon’s new Mobile Recording Studio Bus.

"I am honored to have the opportunity to create music from so many
places in the country and deliver it directly to my fans wherever they
are," Timbaland said. "I am looking forward to taking fans into our
recording sessions to see how we do it."

Timbaland, who was nominated for 5 Grammy Awards this year, is also
Verizon Wireless' first ever "Mobile Producer in Residence."

“The Mobile Producer in Residence program is yet one more way we’re
using the power of our network to bring music fans closer to their
favorite artists," explained Verizon’s Director of Digital Music Ed
Ruth. "We aim to provide access in person, in the living room, or
through the phone into Timbaland’s creative process as he produces an
album, an artistic effort usually masterminded behind closed doors."

Following a private, pre-Grammy event launching the new program in Los
Angeles today (Feb 8), Timbaland will be joined by Mosley Music
Group/Zone 4 singer/songwriter Keri Hilson to begin work on the mobile
album’s first track aboard the fully-equipped Mobile Recording Studio
    Bus.

Following the debut recording, Timbaland will embark on a multi-city
tour, which will allow fans to join Timbaland in the Studio Bus, through
Verizon’s V CAST service or in person, as he records one song a month
with a new guest artist on each track.

The music created by Timbaland as V CAST’s Mobile Producer in
residence will be available exclusively to Verizon customers as
full-song downloads, ringtones and ringback tones.

The new video content, including footage from the Mobile Recording
Studio, will be available through V CAST Video and Verizon Surround.

Wouldn't it be fucked up if the bus got into an accident and fucked up all the equipment? (No I'm not an evil person, some asshole ran a red light and smashed into my Chevy recently. Thats why I say it would be fucked up)

sellout? Please, he gettin that verizon money, and doing what he do.  Aint nothing different, hes just lettin everyone see the process.  In my opinion that shit is long overdue, wit all these makin the bands and reality tv shows, they should have a tv show where a ill producer brings in mad guests and the show takes you through makin the whole album.  This is a good look period.
