mos def is the most disapointing artist in our decade. stop all of this acting shit and finally come out with a classic album. he has the potential. blackstar was classic but his solo lps had classic songs but not the entire album. spit your views on things. fuck an interview or article.

@vega
Why should he limit his career to only music? I'm sure u have had more than one hustle, or has had more than one at some time in your life...

@ vega
Mos gets paid more for movies than albums.  DMX said that too.  Aaliyah (R.I.P) was just on the verge of that happening for her.  People forgot Mark Wahlberg had a music career.  Same with Bruce Willis.  I think George Clooney also.

Russell Crowe used to be in a band back in the day... Now he is nominated for Oscars like every other year.

Mos is one of my favorite artist (if not my favorite), but you have to call a spade a spade. Why should he make good music and starve (real artist get no love from the masses ask Common) when he can make movies and eat good. Look at the Rawkus roster from back in the day. There were some ill MC's, on the label, but people was not buying their records. People was too busy buying Cash Money and other down south artist (no problem with that).

I love Mos and I understand his position? Ask yourself this question: If you could make the "people" happy and NOT make the money you deserve... would you devote your time and effort when the "people" don't support you? Didn't think so.

"Yes We Can" Thanks to all who voted yesterday.

@ Mos haters...think about what ur saying..Mos is a dude that refuses to keep getting raped by the music industry like all the others do...sure he could keep rapping...but why do all the work and let others reap the benefits..he's a great actor..better than most of the actors that try to rap...he makes more money doing it and gets all of his money...and to say none of his solo albums were classics is fucking ludicrous....sure id love to hear more music from the man..but i can understand the reason he's not into it...if the acting money is there..take the acting money
