Former Cash Money Records artist Juvenile is "shocked and devastated" over the death of his four-year-old daughter, Jelani, her mother and Jelani's sister, according to the rapper’s manager.
The Associated Press reports that Juvenile (born Terius Gray) is still trying to cope with the fatal shooting of Jelani, her 39-year-old mother, Joy Deleston, Deleston’s 11-year-old daughter Micaiah and his own daughter.
The bodies of the victims were found Thursday (Feb. 28) night in their home, Juvenile’s manager Aubrey Francis said yesterday (March 1).
"It really shocked him and devastated him to the point where I've never seen him before," Francis said. "Right now he is relaxing and trying to grasp everything of what has happened."
Anthony Tyrone Terrell Jr., Deleston’s 17-year-old son, was arrested Friday (Feb. 29) and charged in the deaths, which occurred at the home near Lawrenceville, outside Atlanta.
He is currently being held in the DeKalb County jail to avoid potential conflicts because Deleston worked for Gwinnett County as a sheriff’s deputy.
A preliminary hearing for Terrell is set for next week in Gwinnett County Superior Court, prosecutor Danny Porter said. Because of Terrell's age, prosecutors cannot seek the death penalty.
