Brooklyn rapper Foxy Brown has replied to recent comments made by her former manager Chaz "Slim" Williams, CEO of Black Hand Entertainment.

Williams, whose infamous criminal career and subsequent rise in the music industry was chronicled on a recent episode of American Gangster, has had a strained relationship with Foxy Brown since she was released from Rikers Island in April.

The pair are at odds over Brown's Koch Records release Brooklyn's Don Diva, which Williams assembled and produced while the rapper was incarcerated for violating her probation.

Brown has responded to recent controversial comments that Williams made on Shade 45's Lip Service show on Monday, warning the Brooklyn rapper that he was "prepared for war."

"I am far more interested in the truth, than making this guy famous," Foxy Brown told AllHipHop.com. "This was probably the most illogical business decision I've ever made in my entire career. But I believe in giving a n***a a chance...so I did. Completely ignoring my intuition."

Foxy Brown dismissed the comments and Chaz Williams himself has since clarified his comments, noting that he was speaking in general terms and didn’t mean to imply any threat of physical harm against the female rapper.

Foxy Brown and Williams have since parted ways.

She is now working on her upcoming official album Black Roses.

"Michael Koch had been courting me for over five years, however I was obligated to a multi-million dollar deal with Def Jam," Brown said of her recent alliance with Koch Records.

No release date was available for Black Roses as of press time.

The industry is trash.  Who cares whether she comes out or not.  Who here thinks that her new album will be a breathe of fresh air?  I didn't think so.  All in all though I wish her well.  It's time for people to grow up.

I agree, female rappers these days are wack as hell to me anyways, none of these chics go as hard as the real boss b1tches from back in tha day like Mia X, Boss, Ghetto Twiinz, Storm (part of tha Outlawz), Da Brat (the old one), MC Lyte, YoYo, and I can't think of anymore, but yall get the point!
All females these days talk about is what they think is pleasing to a man's ear, they don't talk about sh1t other females can relate to. We had a few hits, "Gettin Some Head", and "The Type of Girl", but that aint what goes on in a b1tch mind all day, dayum we on some get money sh1t too!

I want to see more underground female artists break into the mainstream. I think if that happened, it would change the image people have of female rappers. It's some talented women out here we listen to all tha time that be jammin, and everybody done heard of em, but you never see em on BET or MTV. Females have to work twice as hard than a nigga do in this game and also deal biased bastards that think we have no place in this industry at the same time. I think we were too hard on the female emcees earlier, I had to come back and point some shit out from a females perspective. Some female rappers got flow but don't get a chance because they aren't eye candy, when it's a lotta ugly ass niggas in tha game! The same rules that apply to a male don't apply for a female in the game, so yall need to lighten up on the ladies a little.

Like everyone in here said Foxy is dead. And right now the rap game is dead for females. The only way another Foxy, Yo-Yo, LiL Kim, Trina etc. is going to come into the game is if some top dog male rapper brings her in.

LiL Wayne has to give a chic a break (Not Trina cause she's washed)
Rick Ross has to introduce a new chick.
    Game
    Kanye etc.

Or a chick is going to have to come out of no where spitting so damn hard with pounding beats that dudes are going to have to take notice like Boss back in the day.

A female MC making serious noise in the rap game now is like Obama running for president...you're going to have to be a HELL OF A Person to make it work.

That was real ignorant, and if u rap, I WILL EAT U UP. Let AHH be the judge, we'll go song 4 song. Ahh, neva mind, look at ur screenname, that speaks 4 itself. I'd be outta pocket to disarm u like that, I'm a good person.Just be eeeeeaaaaasy, baby. Cuz I really will.

    @ MissDallasTx214
I'm glad u came back w/ some more insight b/c it is harder 4 women tryna do this.God doesn't limit the natural talents He gives to penis. And every female rapper out there aint rappin about sickin duck, oversexed and undereducated. But summa these females sell out, just like the guys who think the quickest route to the top is rappin bout money, drugs, pussy, clothes, etc, these females think the way to make it is to follow the formula laid out. MISS RAP SUPREME did NOT pick ya girl after the dope audition DVD I sent them, I suspect b/c there was NO GIMMICK, and my raps weren't stereotypical. Too many female rappers out there who wanna sound like men when they rap but talk like women, have more hormones than most, etc. etc. It is HARD to network when cats automatically assume b/c u are a female tryna make it, u need them to come Captain Save u. U b surprised how much they name-drop (I'm So-And-So's cousin) and "lace u" on shit u already know about, try to brainwash u into thinkin they got the Magic Dick: Just ride it once and BOOM!! You're gonna b star!!! Instant Gratification!! They nitpick your rap name, over-critique, ask a million questions, basically assume u are not w/ a solid team or solid on ur ground as an artist who knows themself and try to discourage u or convince u that u need their help. I get hated on BY MORE MEN THAN WOMEN..jealousy is a sickness..Cats typecast you and ask u 2 appear on bullshit stereotypical songs, etc etc etc. I aint askin anyone to go easy, fuck music,LIFE is a challenge. But I will say the harder I hafta struggle to the top,the more u gon feel it when I get there.
