Ron Artest Teams with DJ Drama for New Gangsta Grillz

New Houston Rockets forward Ron Artest has partnered with DJ Drama to release the latest edition in the long-running Gangsta Grillz mixtape series.

Entitled World Wide Warier Presents King of Queens, the next installment features a collection of songs and freestyles from Artest himself, and up and coming artists from his Tru Warier record label, including Challace, MR QB, Foul Monday, and D. Artest.

Previously, Artest worked with Sean “Diddy” Combs, Juvenile, Nature, and Capone of CNN on his 2006 debut My World. Two years later, Artest feels the new Gangsta Grillz collaboration will show his growth as an artist and CEO.

“Team Tru Warier and DJ Drama have created a beast of a mixtape,” Artest told AllHipHop.com. Ron Artest is still acclimating to his new Rockets team after an August 14 trade from the Sacramento Kings. Despite the new environment, the former all-star and defensive specialist dismissed any questions of his focus and remains confident that he’ll be able to juggle his music endeavors and the goal of winning an NBA championship.

“I’m with a new and exciting team playing alongside great talents like Tracy McGrady and Yao Ming. I’m ready to go hard and bring the title home to the Rockets,” Artest explained to AllHipHop.com. “So, you already know how hard I work on the basketball court and I will continue to work as hard and even harder in the music field.”

The new mixtape is available now for download.

You could not have said it any better.
Artest isnt a rapper, and we know this. He is an NBA player who makes millions and during the off season he tries his hand at music.
So whats the excuse of these lame ass, wannabe dope boy rappers of today's music society??????

You named all of those ballers who tried their hand at music and failed horribly. One thing you had wrong though, Shaq actually had a couple of good cds. And he had some meaningful songs on them. Not sure how old you guys on here are but did you hear his song "Biological Didn't Bother" about how his step-father raised him when the biological one ran off? Then he had a fire collabo with Fu. Now the rest of your list damn sure shouldn't have even had that dream of touching the mic.

Supporting our community is definitely cool but to waste money is different. I understand uplifting our people but to take artest ova Slim/Paul wall is funny to me. Not about race this time, it's about talent and potential. Slim/Paul are talented, Artest has potential. Peace
