To be the voice of reason here, I do feel of all Miami's Rappers Ross is one of the best. In the game, He does make good music. However his claims to have defeated 50 isn't really true. He has not had one platinum album, 50 has sold millions. This whole credibility thing is a moot point, cause whether or not 50 is a snitch, and Rick Ross is a CO has nothing to do with the consumption of there music globally. Money wise we don't even have to argue who won. Entertainment wise 50 has diversified himself and gone towards other avenues while still attempting to remain real to his roots. Ross on the other hand has prematurely put his group on lean by pushing their music without getting a proper fan base and movement behind them. A real Boss understand no amount of marketing will make up for core fans and that it takes time to build a buzz. Now as far as the music, I personally enjoy Maybach music, and I rock "Heat" cause it's still one of the hardest tracks in the game. As far as MC's go/and musical content they are equals too me. One is just built for competition, the other is built to be clowned, taking another man's name(this goes for freeway as well) and using another man's story to push his movement and attacking non rappers like boxers who have more money then you. Either way both need to keep making music because I enjoy it all, especially the shots being fired, and the death blow 50 keeps throwing..
