(AllHipHop News) DMX’s wife Tashera Simmons will reveal the intimate details of her life with the rap star in a new tell all book.

Representatives for Tashera Simmons have confirmed with AllHipHop.com that a tell all book titled Strength of Woman is in the process of revealing a “not so glamorous life” in the autobiographical work.

As “Mrs. DMX,” Tashera was prominently featured in DMX’s reality show DMX: Soul Of A Man, which chronicled his turbulent life in 2006.

DMX has been arrested every year since 1999, on multiple charges, ranging from impersonating a police officer to animal abuse.

Additionally, the rapper, who has been married to Tashera since 1999, has been hit with several paternity suits over the years.

In 2004, a woman from Buffalo New York and another from Baltimore, Maryland accused him of fathering their children.

In January of 2008, DMX was ordered to pay $1.5 million dollars to the Baltimore woman, after he accused her of raping him in an interview with Sister2Sister magazine, in response to the woman’s paternity claims.

DMX was also the first artist in history to have five consecutive #1 debut albums on the Billboard Top 200 Charts.

It's Dark and Hell Is Hot (1998), Flesh of My Flesh, Blood of My Blood (1998), And Then There Was X (1999), The Great Depression (2002) and Grand Champ (2003) each topped the charts when they were released.

He’s also a prolific actor with major roles in movies like Belly, Romeo Must Die and Exit Wounds.

“She will be talking about her experience with her family and trying to hold them together through the DMX journey,” a representative for Tashera told AllHipHop.com. “Her story is a stellar, heart wrecking, powerful, firsthand account of survival and family strength in a chaotic life and the fame that came with that life.”

He was bigger than Jay @ that time, and that was jay @ his peak! Well, right b4 blueprint, that's imo when he really took off...... He's the f**kin mike tyson of rap. I do think that each album was worse than the one b4 it. Not that they were bad, just that its dark and hell is hot is f**kin classic......damn those were the days.....he was also the ngga that brought new york back to the other coasts after the whole east west beef. Everybody was lovin that ngga when he first dropped...

I think "And then there was X" was better than "Flesh of my "Flesh, Blood of my Blood", but that's just my opinion though. X did have the game on lock from 98-01, then he felloff big time though.

Its funny u say that cuz me and my cuz ould always go @ it about which one was better. Lookin back @ it, I would prlly have to agree. On the basis that flesh had more throw away tracks if anything. But slippins on it also, and that's one of the best songs ever. Who knows what woulda been if he woulda stayed clean and kept @ it. I mena, he shined harder than all the nggz who's suppossed to b runnin this rap s**tnow. They was doin they thing, but he was the biggest. From 98-01 jay, ja, em, nas, pun, snoop, dre, wayne, scarface, ect all these nggz was doin It but they wasn't f**kin with x @ that time....

He never was the best lyricist, but he made good music though. He made music you can feel, but he wasn't better than Jay or Nas lyrically though, I'm sure you can agree with that. I remember "And then there was X" and "Vol 3" by Jay Z, dropped at the end of 99 and X killed Jay in first week sales. But Jay withstood alot of these guys, like 50 was hotter than Jay in 03, but Jay still dropped the "Black Album" and it did big numbers. Jay is way bigger than 50 now. Jay know how to play the game, he let these boys get their shine, then they burnout, but Jay still be around after they came and went.

That's when they had MC's Like LL, Kane, Rakim, Cube, Chuck D, KRS-1, Kool G Rap etc.... them boys could rap circles around these boys now and days. They even had hot female MC's back then. Oh, mos def. I mean, x did have spit just not on they level. Yea, I'm talkin bout all around star status and shit. Crazy thing is, back in 99 nggz ain't even give a f**k about first week sales, not the average fan @ least. I feel wit jay, he's always been able to drop a quality album when it was needed. Like the wsy he dropped blueprint after dynasty or black album after bp2 even ag after kingdomecome.(I'm also one who's not a big fan of bb3, even though I give him props for workin the game to his advantage with the right up and comin artist all over the album, the features def made it what it was imo) I still think that 50 is a bigger international star than jay but jay is def bigger @ the momment. It kinda reminds me of kanye and 50, like kanye sold more in his first week and was bigger here, but internationally 50 sold more records, which honestly doesn't matter much to us... plus to b fair, in nases case, he was easly droppin the worst material of his carrer @ that point and that's the era when the bulls**t really really started to take over. Dmx was big cuz he reminded muthafuckas of pac. U know rap loves bald head nggz.

I think it was the talent and diversity thst makes it the golden era. There was so much to choose from, I mean, even the pop record r classic . Epmd, bd, eric b rakim, kid and play, shante, mc lite, ll, run dmc, umtramagnetic, doc(home team to u) nwa, kane, fresh price, de la, juice crew, biz...the list goes on and on...all diff but still quality...can't 4get public enemy, too short and ice t.......

Yea, that was def the best time period. I'm real partial to early 90's rap. The feel of those record were amazing. That feel good shit. The gastas was gangstas but it didn't oversaturate the market like later on I the 90's. Pete rock and cl smooth "mecca and the soul brother" I think has the perfect feel for how the music was @ that time. And what can I say about the tribe? I love that shit. That's back when they used to do it for the love of the music and not what was hot @ the time to do. U had to b original then. After a while, nggz just started bitin what was hot

To be honest, I agree with ya, but i read that they consider 85-89 the Golden Era of Hip Hop. I was raised on 90's hip hop though. In my opinion 92-96 is the Golden Era. In those 4 years, so much good music was being put out, plus the NY vs Cali beef was in effect, that forced artist from each state to make good music. I call it NY vs Cali beef, not East vs West, like the Media called it.

@Liquid, yeah I think it started to build in 85 but I don't think that was the"Golden Era".  Native Tongue didn't really even get popular till about 89-90.  Those late 80's and early 90's years produced the most classic material.  You have Wu-tang, Nas, BIG, PAC, NWA, Cube, Tribe, Naughty, LL was still doing it, KRS, Heavy D, ...I can go on forever but for them to say it was over in 89 just isn't the case.  I think it was just picking up steam in 89.

I was raised on DITC, Big, Pac, Wu, Bone Thugs, Naughty, LL, Nwa, Snoop, Scarface, so i feel what you saying about that. You really can say the Golden Era was from 85-99. The 2000's pretty much sucked, although they had a few albums here and there, but it's no comparison to the 80's and 90's though. It look like the 10's going to even be worse.

I was saying that Jay done lasted thru all these hot artist for the moment reign. Ja Rule, DMX, and 50 was all hotter than Jay at one point in their career, but Jay still dropped his albums and put up big numbers. Now those guys ain't hot anymore, but Jay still doing his thing, that's what i was saying.

Yup that sounds about right.  After Don Killuminati, everything started to get watered down.  MAster P started bringing out albums every other week, Badboy was all about the shiney suits, alot of gimmick rappers started popping up, Cash Money took off...hiphop just lost that "feel" after that Makavelli album.

@dook89
Nah man, dirty south came before Em.  No Limit and Cash Money had it on lock for a while after 97.  Outkast was always there, LIL Jon started his movement, Em didn't come along till about 99

@liquidswords85 your right jay kept a steady hstle while others came out strong and burned out.50 was the last of that big era of mcs.

@dook89 yeah 50 sold more than jay ever sold off one album on GRODT he sold like 10 mill off that in the states damn near.he probably cracked 10 by now.

I gotta say the golden era ended in 99 cuz em and luda dropped around then.50 was a resurrection but one artist or crew isn't an era.b4 then even the lesser known artists were making classic music
