Look at Rich Boy (I'm not picking on him, he's just the first to come to mind), that dudes got a video with a stack of money in his platinum teeth. It seems that many people think that these "accusers" actually care about what hip hop does to the black community. No, they care about what it does to white america. It wasn't a problem until Suburbia de America started eating it up and trying to imitate the culture. The only way to stop the connection is to attack hip hop in any shape or form. The only way WE can stop hip hop from remaining a scapegoat is to prioritize education which in return will reduce crime which will shut these idiots up (probably only by a small margin, but still). That is how I see it. But like most comments I read, I'm just taking a guess (somewhat educated).

Here we go again, hip-hop's the scapegoat. Let's address the real problem, these kids don't have anything positive to get into. No positive role models in the community to aspire to be like no after-school and summer programs, centers, gyms, mentoring programs ??? They're all non-existent because the budgets for these activities, especially in low-income areas, have been cut. Where are the jobs, the interships etc. ?? Fortunately, hip hop exists because it's the only hope for a lot of the youth in these situations. It gives them something to dream for, something they feel is realistically attainable being in their situation. I still think we need more positive messages in the music, but hip hop creates hope and has created jobs with great pay for many inner city youth that would have either been locked up, dead or best case scenario broke otherwise.

They're not trying to camouflauge their activities with rap, the cop said "the city was still battling a plague of prescription drugs and heroin abuse" that, along with the other problems I mentioned, sounds like the problem they need to be addressing, not hip hop. Later K
