Yeah, i work over at the Department of Social Services in Louisiana and he was down here doing something in this building, i guess thats what he was doing. I met him and everything, he came on the elevator as I was gettin of....I was like 'Whooa!' didnt expect to run into him coming to work that day. Been listenin to that dude since i was 3.

Excellent story and I hope he gets that Emmy. Maybe we really are experiencing a new movement of artists making an effort to bring positive issues to light like this. There are thousands of kids in the foster care system so it's good for them to see they are not alone in their struggle to find their identity and roots.

So since DMC is really Dominican doesn't that mean that he truly is the first Latino Hip Hop star and the first to go multiplatinum? No disrespect to Fat Joe and Big Pun but clearly DMC was first.
