here's my thing with people that bitch about where concerts are at. The artist doesn't book the concert. Someone has to get a permit to have the concert there and it was approved, and in most cities (probably every city) the artist is listed on the permit. From what I get from this story the CYA has some say in what goes on at this pavilion, which would mean their association approved the permit. The fact that he said "They have the right to say it, but they should go somewhere children don't have to hear it" comes off as, to me, "they can do what they want, just not here"

Am I the kind of guy who walks around in public seeking children to curse in front of? No. Am I the kind of guy who, when are children, doesn't 'watch my mouth' and carry on like I'm talkin to my ace? No. But if it wasn't the cursing, they would have found something else.

They didn't force it on a yacht club. If anyone should be under attack, again, it's the promoters. The artist shows up to what it says on the check. The artist gets on the bus, it takes them to where they perform. They get off the bus, and grab the mic. They don't walk around and survey the public to see what kind of language they should use. It would be a totaly different story if it was a concert FOR kids, or if it was at a children's benefit. Kids live within earshot of 99% of places you can hold an outdoor concert/festival. Does that mean that every time you play somewhere outdoors you're supposed to edit yourself?

If you showed up at a Wu Tang and Snoop concert and they edited their songs, you would be pissed. People paid their hard earned money to see them perform they way they perform every single night.
