Entertainment wasn't the reason for the search and seizure..It was the year plus surveillance they did. They did the surveillance because they were in a gang.

I agree with you that a rapper should only get a pass to talk about things like that on their 1st album, unless you really stay in the street after that. As far as Scorcese and Tarentino and all these other directors that make the movies about the drug trade, the mafia, and all that..who do you know that they don't get searched? It's entirely possible that they are being watched, but are not doing anything but their jobs, which is within the law. Also, the movies they make are about fictional characters. You would probably say "Not Goodfellas, what about that one?" The people portrayed in that movie dealth with the law, thanks to Henry Hill, who is now in the witness protection program..

You hit it on the head when you said you are basically snithin on your people when you talk about it like that. In this day and age, you can find out what street, and what house any rapper lived at. You can find out who they ran with before they became rappers..so when you say on record "everyone knows we hustle 3 doors down from pookie's grandma's house" that shit is gonna come out exactly where thats at. In most cases you are part of a team, or operation and just because you left..the cops are supposed to think everyone stopped slangin out that house? Hell nah they gonna go down there and get their arrests.
