I think its a great idea. When Nas first came out he had a thing going where all his album titles started with I (Illmatic, It Was Written, I' am) I guess now its thought provoking titles that will have everyone in an uproar. People are still talking shit a year later about how Hip hop aint dead. I like artists who take risks and push the boundries on what they can and cant do better than those who are just out to push the same formula for a few more bucks.

Nas needs to concentrate on making a complete album, for once, and not a gimmicky, "Let's get maaad controversy to sell this" type title.
Nas has never been close to a fave of mine (too flip-floppy and his flows never moved me) but I have bought his music...only to be disappointed by how his beats lack on virtually half of each album...
Somebody said something about Premiere doing his beats for a whole album - Nah. Premiere is tired and repetitively simple, more times than not. He may be a nostalgic thing for many but not for me and to hear a whole album of he and Nas would not get my money, but that's just me.

it's another gimick. he sat back at looked at the impact and all the hoopla the last title "HipHop is Dead" did, and just like the rest of the industry is doing by going by the method of "if it worked the first time, let's do it again" by calling the next album "nigga" knowing beforehand that it's going to create the same buzz. that shit is either weak or borderline genius.

I agree with Nas having a rep of cd's w/ lack luster beats but to claim that DJ Premier is tired is, ah, I can't even say questionable but, it's down right silly. Premier's beats sound simple to one's that don't understand the concept of how he does his beats and how difficult it is for the common producer to duplicate. Also you need to understand what streets his sounds represent.

I myself wouldn't want Premier to do every beat on the album but to be in charge of production would be ill because anyone that has followed Nas, not just bought his albums every now & then, knows that don't no one understand Nas's true sound like Primo. Even Dre (maybe the greatest) failed at his attempt to give Nas a different sound (think of The Firm, good effort but). Maybe Dre and Primo collabo!!! hmmmmmmmmmmm
