Just because he won the award, doesn't mean that "Curtis" outsold "Graduation". Sounds to me like they are accounting for life-time sales... In which case, we already knew 50 sold more Cd's than Kanye, over his life-time. The statement said:
"50 Cent’s latest album Curtis HELPED him win the World’s Best Selling Artist Award". That would indicate that the sales from Curtis were added in addition to previous sales... Correct me if I'm wrong..........

remember folks they didnt want to include the numbers from canada, europe, india, etc....i swear the numbers must be at around being released globally one the same day for the 50 cent album....well over 6-7 million easily....

soundscan only had the USA numbers....riaa aswell only had USA....we will know the real numbers after these two artist complete there promotional tour this month all the way until the christmas time...

i knew that 50 cent won....bc i have friends in europe who told me and sent me photos of the stores across Europe sold out of 50 cent cds....

First off i'm from the UK and i copped both albums and actually prefered 50's, but Kanye West is the biggest hip-hop star over here at the minute........his album sat at number 1 in the UK for 2 weeks.......which is an achievement as Rap music is a dying artform in the UK due to a lack of quality from the genre.....!

But outside of the US & UK - 50 Cent hit number 1 in almost every other country on the planet - including Europe & Asia, which are the 2 biggest markets outside North America

50 posted sales of 3 million in the first 4 weeks of his release in Europe alone and sat at number 1 on the european charts for 3 weeks - Kanye posted 1.5 million sales in the same time period at charted number 3 on his debut week..!

I travel all of the world through my job & 50 is massive everywhere, probably one of the most popular musicians on the planet...!
