Yeah its some stupid shit and being late ain't a good look but it was Christmas, damn. As far as the charge I'm sure the nigga just forgot the heat was in his bag. It happens a lot more than people think and you know damned well that he ain't purposely try to take a strap on an airplane. A few years ago Barry Switzer (coach of the Dallas Cowboys at the time) got caught up on the same thing. Forgot his heat was in his bag and accidentally went through airport security with it. You can be damned sure that white people were not hollering, "Give his ass Life!!" or "This idiot makes all white people look bad!!"

The fact of the matter is celebrities (Rappers included) make mistakes - JUST LIKE YO ASS!! It ain't like this nigga is in the news every week on some dumb nigga shit a' la Foxy, so why are we so quick to hang a muthafucka? This crab in a bucket shit has gone too far.

Don't get me wrong, he committed a crime (accidental or not) and he will probably get probation or maybe a little time but that is all that is warranted in this case from what has been reported- NOT throwing the nigga UNDER the jail like some of you niggas would like to see.

It would have been simple to just appear in court on time and get this matter taken care of as soon as possible. All because you have money that doesn't mean you should do things that will cause you to waste it needlessly. Unless you are Russ, 50, Jay, or Puff your money isn't that long and notice how they try to avoid being in ridiculously stupid situations that will cause them to waste money. I've made mistakes, but making court appointments on time, dressing appropriately, respecting the authority of the judge while your there is the smart way to do things.

You are right, it happened 10 years ago (August 1997) and he plead guily to a misdemeanor, paid a $3500 fine and got a year of probation.....Your point? I said that Yung Joc had committed a crime and would probably get probation or maybe a little time.

Maybe you should read my full post and you might see the point I was trying to make. Maybe you still missed it so let me try again. The only reason Barry Switzer was brought up was to show the differences in how we react when one of "us" fucks up in the public eye and how "they" react when one of "them" fucks up in the media. We actually had somebody on this board who said GIVE THIS NIGGA LIFE. You can bet your ass that they were not trying to throw Barry Switzer's under the jail like that. As soon as a nigga fuck up, we wanna crucify him for it. They do that to us enough in the media, we shouldn't be doing it to ourselves. That's my only point.
