I wish I could attend. Mos Def is an talented artist that gets overlooked a lot of the times, but when u hear him talk esp. something thats passionate to him, he captures ur attention. Just listen to his take on the Jena 6.

Russell Crowe used to be in a band back in the day... Now he is nominated for Oscars like every other year.

Mos is one of my favorite artist (if not my favorite), but you have to call a spade a spade. Why should he make good music and starve (real artist get no love from the masses ask Common) when he can make movies and eat good. Look at the Rawkus roster from back in the day. There were some ill MC's, on the label, but people was not buying their records. People was too busy buying Cash Money and other down south artist (no problem with that).

I love Mos and I understand his position? Ask yourself this question: If you could make the "people" happy and NOT make the money you deserve... would you devote your time and effort when the "people" don't support you? Didn't think so.
