Honestly, I don't believe in any of these theories of why T.I.P. had weapons. What I believe is that you're looking at a man who actually lived up to his lyrical persona. He's made a lot of changes in his life since he hugged the block. And nomatter how bright your future may become, looking over your shoulders may hold a different story.

T.I.P. has had a few mentors in his early career from Jay-Z to L.A. Reid who may have pulled him aside and told him that he can leave his past, including his attitude behind him. When you step back and take a look at his growth as a better man, you could only hope that he had better circumstances as a young man. He could have easily obtained the same success, even if it wasn't in Hip-Hop.

This dude was not going to war, weapons or no weapons. We all saw the photo's. I'd chalk it up to the haves and the have nots. When you're young without having much, you want it all. And once you have the means, you fulfill your wildest dreams.

Have you ever noticed that once a controversial soul from a harsh background turns their life around, people don't want to see it; they either lose their life or lose their freedom.

People have done a lot worse and had far more on their possession and received less to no time at all. Corporations like Enron go belly up and the execs who've obviously stolen from their shareholders and lost pensions for their workers walk away with a slap on their wrist. And they want to talk five to ten years for a silencer?

What they need to do is allow for T.I.P. to be a spokesperson on behalf of reducing gun violence; for the rest of his life if he must. These kids will listen to a T.I.P. long before they'll listen to Officer Friendly.
