I'm gonna say good for her because of the empowerment aspect...seems really positive.

but on another note...

Seems like every artist at some point has their own clothing line...you hear alot of hype about it launching and then it fades to black and you never see anyone rocking their gear or it winds up on the sale rack at Marshalls (i.e. Nelly(Vokal), Eminem (Shady, Ltd.), Fat Joe (FJ560), Outkast, and the list goes on). How are artists making paper off these ventures if nobody is really rocking all the clothing lines they keep 'creating'???
And why keep doing it...

I think this is cool stuff... Artists, athletes, actors... make clothing lines because clothing lines and endorsements make more money than record deals and labels.

Look at how much money Michael Jordan, Tiger Woods, etc. made off Hanes, off Nike, etc.

They'll still be sellin those shoes and hats and visors in 100 years even though MJ is and Tiger will retire.
