hello everybody, I'm from Cape town South Africa. I was born and raisd for 11 years until i moved to the USA. I've been here almost 12 years now. My first 6 years i lived thru apartheid and when the schools were desegregated in 91' I was fortunate to be enrolled in a prestigious boys school known across the country. My first year wasn't too hectic, i got a little 'unwelcomes' from some students, but the teachers were mostly the most racist ones. At the time i was too young too even see or care what was going on. I don't like telling people about my experience because, unfortunatly, some people still think Africa is the sahara and desert and we are all bushmen.

Anyway, I'm glad to see Nelson Mandela getting his recognition he deserves after years of being oppressed and locked away. Even though he is now being seen as an Icon and hero for all black people world, the world semed to have turned the other way when he was locked away. The main reason being was that he supported marxist's and communism back in the day before all communists states went to shit. To America that was being looked down upon. It wasn'y until the 80's when the world stepped in and urged the National Party to stop living in the past and desegregate the country.

But, Eminem performing for Nelson Mandela? Didn't he call all black people spear chuckers and shit a while back? First he makes fun of the fags, then hugs elton john, now this? contradictor!!!

Why shouldn't Eminem perform for Mandela? U2 is being asked, so is Paul McCartey, Keane and the Spice Girls... whats the big deal? A white rapper can't perform for Africa? So much much for opposing racism lol And to those who are sill on that racist shit that Eminem said, give the man a break. He's worked with how many African Americans in Hip Hop? He publicy apologized for those hateful lyrics and called the whole thing immature, etc. I'm not a black man, so I understand it may be easier for me to forgive something like that, but clearly the man did not mean it and was sorry. At least he was never runnin around in sheets and burning crosses.
