So when most rappers were catchn lablelheads comin out of offices in NY, Bay Area rappers were hustlin tapes, then CDs, outta the trunk of their car. I'm on an Indie label, it's not about seeking out a slave deal, and only those w/ the most hustle survive in this fast-evolving industry. Any opportunity to leave a flyer on a countertop, hand out a business card, give a CD to a DJ, respond to an inquiry or plug ur myspace at the bottom of ur opinion on AHH, etc, that is not taken, is a MISSED opportunity. Gotta get em' from all angles.
