i agree with you to a extent, he doesn't completely have the community as #1 priority. Nobody can help you but yourselves. We are people in our own minds and bodies, and we know decisions that are being made are either going to benefir us or not benefit us whatsoever.

Black leaders were around back then when we needed guidance under oppression, people like MalcolmX and Muhammad Ali, Martin Luther King were influential individuals at that time and gave your parents, grandparents hope, just as Hip Hop gave voice to people that wanted to voice concerns. These were the 2 ways that expressions were applied.

Now you have no creativity in Hip Hop, no guidance, no realistic subjects, nothing but materialistic views on life, so much that black people have lost themselves in the materialstic fantasy. No leader is going to get you out because guidance is not required anymore, its discipline, self respect and in the long term preservation as a whole. People like sharpton are pretenders trying to conn the people that Hip Hop has influenced, and on the back end being a scummy no good doer, making the most of his power and status. At the end of it, we still going to be in the same shithole we may have startyed in but he gonna be sitting back with a beer laughing at us somewhere in a cushy palace.
