It's easy to call him a sell-out and say he shouldn't have succumb to the pressure, etc etc etc. All speaking from a fan's perspective, obviously.It wasn't just the higher-ups in the company trippin, even the stores were saying they wouldn't put his album in em w/ that title. He still got his point across, he left it untitled and now he's droppin the mixtape where he can be as reckless as he wanna. Even dead prez had an album where they let u kno on the cover that they couldn't say everything they wanted due to 'the powers that be'. Does that make em sellouts cuz they didn't "fight the power" and find a way to say EXACTLY WHAT THEY WANTED? What is the more important goal, to get ur point/message across to the masses who listen to ur music or to win a battle w/ the companies? If he got his point across to everyone w/ his "untitled" album, PLUS his mixtape, then it's still mission accomplished.
