The business side of the rap game is no joke. Everybody profits but the artists. you know they had a fucked up contract similar or worse than the average rap cat today. Classic examples of how Corporate America owns rap music. So now they own the 2 Live Crew and ant no telling what they are gonna do with the songs. Whether it's commercials or soundtracks, historic songs that helped usher in new laws and new trends in rap just went pop. It's the same bastardization that helps them use our music to promote us negatively.And it's legal. Mark my words you gonna start seeing commercials for their songs as ring tones real soon. My question is..... As much paper and ballin and making it rain that my platinum and grill wearing brothers do, why don't they ever have enough to buy their own catalogs or own the distribution rights? I don't get it.
