Ice cubes new album is a classic if you ask me. Every track is a banger. Every word is gangsta and poetic. It puts these other artists out here to shame. You can't buy records today and expect the whole thing to be hot, it just don't happen anymore. Only artists who were out when I was a youngster can still hold that title today. Artists like Ice Cube, Redman, Xzibit, dem D-Block boys(very underrated), Scarface, Too Short, Wu-Tang Clan, and a few others, but not many. Every track on cubes joint is a banger. Where's Mac-10 though? The track with W.C. and The Game Is bangin, but I would have loved to hear Mac-10 on that song too. Classic album, these youngters need a hiphop 101 class and Ice Cube has the credentials.

That's a very good look. I certainly don't feel that this debut is a failure. Great album and a very good look with a #1 Rap Album and being #5 on the 200 Chart. We know Cube has sold records, and everything doesn't have to sell large quantities to be considered successful. The best possible formula to follow is dope music from a great artist. Cube executed. His legacy is intact. Ice Cube the Great does it again.

My boy sent me that Cube album earlier in the week, and I listened to it yesterday, today and will put my money where my ears is tomorrow and purchase it on CD so Cube gets the money he deserves for another Classic album!

Yup ... That's what I'm talking about, I did the same with Nas too, those guys deserve to get paid for their hard work.

I'll listen to L.A.X. before I make my decision on that, I bought the first 2 and don't play them no more .... The test of a true classic, you can play it every few months and it gives you that same buzz it did when you first heard it; like "Illmatic", "Me against the world", "Death Certificate" or "Midnight Marauders".

Big ups to Cube. I wish that GZA album would have done the same. I'm trying to see how many he moved because that cd is tight. Lyrically one of the best. I have the Cube but haven't had time to really listen to it like I should but I definitelty will. As far as TI I hate that song and think it is wack as hell but congrats for the jump. I just hope it is a legit jump.

The truth is, G Unit most likely had a multi million dollar ad campaign as they are backed by a huge corporation and publicity machine, let's face it, 5 Cent knows how to get his name n the news or on the fron of a magazine.

Ice Cube invested 100% of his own money in his project, and released it wholely independently, unlike 50 Cent, whose music is distributed by a major label.

When you understand how the music industry works, and take into account that this is not 1988 when we did not have illegal music downloads, and also take into account the global recession, then Ice Cube done pretty damn good for himself.

Ice Cube will probably go Gold with this one, as the buzz & momentum picks up, and knowing that it was 1990 when his first solo album came out (Amerikkka's most wanted), which would have debuted at No.1, and to know he can repeat that feat almost 20 years later, with rhymes and a lyrical delivery that are relevant and on point, when G Unit have not been in the game as long and are visibly falling off, I'd say Cube gets all the credit he deserves when people congratulate him for the units he's sold.

After years of makin good music, and movies, is there a better example of success and longevity in the game? Personally, he has always been my favorite artist since his first album, because he can keep it street and actually make sense. Cube is the epitome of Street Credit!!!
