The original Belly was worse than a Hulk Hogan movie! And the Hulkster's movies are really that bad, worse than B movies! Just when I thought there could never be a movie worse than anything with Hulk Hogan in it, then came Belly to prove there can be worse movies than one starring Hulk Hogan. Belly was so bad, it makes me wanna watch No Holds Barred on DVD. The terrible unskilled overacting in Belly makes Hulk Hogan's acting Academy Award nomination worthy.

Belly (1998) was a wannabe New Jack City and Menace II Society. Matter of fact, the dude who played Cain was in Belly, he should be ashamed of himself for prostituting/selling his unemployed ass for taking a role in Belly. To go from a great role in classic, realistic, original, and great movie to a shitty role in a worse than 100 elephant shits of a movie like Belly is pathetic. I have never seen Tyrin Turner (Cain) after Belly since, and this was 10 years ago. I guess Belly killed his career!

can get mad @ czar entertainment for trying to cake up, but belly 2 was terrible. the first belly was visually stimulating, the way it was shot, the colors, along with array of well recognizable cast members. the plot wasn't the best but it was still my shit. belly 2 is just your run of the mill low budget hood movie. they should have just called it billionare boys club. its almost as if my expectations for it were too high because it was a sequel to one of my favorites but it is what it is.

I gotta give it up to Game for trying man... Just on the strength of the title alone he should sell a good amount of DVD's. As far as the movie goes the shit is pretty bad. Im sure had they known it was going to be called Belly 2 they would have done a better job. I bought it knowing it was wack.

Movie Recap... Game kills his love interest because he found out she was police. Omar from the wire gets killed towards the end because of some missing coke(Heading to the strip club). Dub C gets popped during the final scene .

BELLY, the Original was a classic, even though I think Nas's acting skillz needed a little help. BELLY was a classic hot ass movie if you ask me. But that belly 2 bullshit heeeeellllllllll nawww. How stupid do you have to be not to put not one the the original cast members in tha movie. I think they messed up the originality of belly by calling it belly 2. They need to chill with that shit and come out with the real belly 2 ya digg.

Belly wasn't that bad but its not a classic. Remember when they made dude strip. I didnt understand that part at all what the fuck. Also its not a sequel if part 1 has nothing to do with it.

If it doesn't have ANY characters from the original, doesn't have the same director as the original, has none of the storyline or cinematography of the original and doesn't even take place in the same setting as the original (NY), then, I'm sorry, it is NOT a sequel to the original. The only thing they have in common is that they're both 'hood movies starring rappers, and if those are the only criteria then damn near every 'hood movie is a sequel to the one before it.

Could still be a good movie, but not a sequel at all. Should've kept whatever the original name was. I'd love to hear what Hype thinks.

I saw this movie like 2 weeks ago, IT'S WACK!!!!

Its worse than the worse movie Master P every made when he was shitting out hood tales every two weeks.

Its fucking terrible and an insult to the original Belly, which had a genius director (hype), a great lead actor(DMX) and a top rate story... sheeeeit they even had Louie Rankin in the original...

Game should make sure that shit never comes out and Lion Gate Film took an L on this one.

What made the original a classic was the nice shots, colors, music along with the cast and the story...

I could live without the original cast & maybe brought in ICE CUBE, Tyrese, Xzibit, GAME to take this over & do west coast version of the movie but I think Hype would have had to do it to keep up with the colors & imagery of the 1st or take it to the next level..

If you cant do it right, dont do it all!

100% agreed...they could've ditched the original cast and done a BELLY II - West Coast version (since the West has some of hip hops finest that can actually act!) with the same director and that shit would've been IT! Would've been a good look for hip hop, film, & gave some shine to the West (since ATL hip hop-themed movies have been lacking & the we haven't seen a good West coast based flic in a minute)

A - Give/gave this sequel the time of day
B - ESPECIALLY if it stars the LAME
