I havent liked Jay-Z's music in years and though, of course, I respect his hustle and his business sense, I wish he would just make the full transition into business man and finally leave rap alone.

The song "Jockin Jay-Z" bothers me so much because he is essentially describing how he jocked other artists that he used to listen to (BIG, Nas, Big Jaz, etc.) Its like he's gotten so full of himself that he forgot he used to follow other peoples footsteps too, and now he's saying everybody just wants to copy him. I just find that song slightly hipocritical.

Jimmy Valentine- I am afraid you are over people’s heads. To further your points, Jay Z is part of the Ratner movement to bring the New Jersey Nets to Brooklyn. A lot of working folks, folks that come from beginnings such as Jay Z’s, folks that looks like the people in his family are being cast aside to make way for the luxury condo crowd. I don’t think a lot of the posters have thought their “raw, untempered capitalism” mentality to its logical conclusion. The stuff is pretty ugly. Just take a look around. It ain’t hard to tell.

One more thing on this people I have an older brother who is on top of his game Divison 1 Basketball coach. I know for a fact my bro loves me I know he aint got the bread Jay has or anything but I know if I was 2 go 2 jail that he wouldnt come see me it wouldnt even cross his mind. All is fair in love and war. Foxy was slippin and Jay is like an older brother who is like u fucked up so u have 2 deal wit the issues that come along wit it u have 2 grow as a person. HOT97 made a good point. How can Jay dismiss foxy and mari for not selling when bleek did worse than them. If this was about business, then Bleek should have been dropped faster than a hot plate. I can understand Mari being dropped, but Fox should have been treated better, afterall his first single blew up thanks to her. But this is another example of how much of a crab jay is.
