The cat schoolin' boys on how Jay and Em and them did crazy #'s back in the day, I actually agree with you.

I will say, however, we have to be careful comparing these "eras" of hip-hop, trying to say who's better than who...

I say that because the game has changed. With the way the economy is right now, coupled with how music is stolen and "leaked" out to the masses right now, Weezy selling 2.3 mill is actually monumental. I don't know if it would tally to maybe, say, 4 mill even 5 years ago, but I'd venture to say it would probably be something like that.

Hate it or love it, Weezy's #'s are incredible in this day and age. You go platty right now, you are doing it WAY major. The game ain't the same. Technology is eating into these artist's sales...big time...

Thankfully, there's only a few on here, but I love those who hate Eminem, probly because THEY are racist and possibly jealous. Eminem is one of the greatest. Did his race play a role? Of course somewhat, because whites are (or were) the minority in Hip Hop, so it was surprising and somewhat controversial. But MC Serch was white, so was Vanilla Ice and Everlast/House of Pain, and non of them ever did anything like Eminem. Eminem is truly one of the greatest. His ability to switch up the flow, he has a good vocabulary, his vocal presence and originality and grade A stuff as well. Battle skills, he has 'em. Keep talking your white people bullshit and warning about opressors and shit.. whatever.

It's teribble that he hasn't come out with anything really hot though since the Eminem show. Encore was decent, but it was nowhere near his prime. He showcased some of his skills on the Re-Up mixtape, but "No Apologies" was the only song that I felt was "vintage" Eminem.

Honestly, and I hate to say it, but I don't know if Eminem can drop another great album. Of course I'll cop it, but I doubt it'll be great.
