The part where you said he didn't make it in rock is not accurate. Niggaz was fuckin with kid rock back in the day in the mid west region, the only reason he didn't blow was because Jive wanted him to be on some Vanilla Ice and he wasn't having it, so they dropped him. He switched to rock and had a slow start, but eventually, white people cought on and he sold millions.

Aside from Darius Rucker (Hootie) that was already mentioned, this is no "HIP HOP ACHIEVEMENT".

If you're looking at it as a BLACK ACHIEVEMENT and not a HIP HOP win - it wasn't the CMA's, but BEYONCE performed IRREPLACEABLE on the Grammy's with that top Country group. They re-recorded and made it a country record. Also, isn't Snoop scheduled to perform? Cowboy Troy is black - he's not hip hop but he performed and hosted the Country American Idol.
